  1. I guess your wifes gonna be wearing a bark coloured nightie with earings of leaves tonight
  2. I really hope you catch the scum... I dont have a road passing my property just a footpath from which it is impossible to see the fields yet some little scum bag spotted my post hole borer stored in the field and stole it.. they must have driven over a neighbouring farmers field to get it. Then people wonder why I get upset with dog walkers straying of footpaths enabling them to see onto my property. Make sure your parents dont try and tackle them.

    Cod 6

I`ve been relegated to my laptop cos my sons monopolising the desktop with better graphics playing it online ... the little geek.... and he calls me a saddo for going on Arbtalk:biggrin:
  4. Thats really the point I am making. If you were to process a load into 10" lengths and say produce 1000 nets, out of the same quantity of wood you would achieve 1250 nets at 8" which would still sell at the same price. I have a bit of a business plan (conjured up driving around one day) which I think would easily achieve sales of 3000 nets per week (although I would probably buy in rather than produce myself), its just the weight and bulk of the product that is causing a stumbling block.
  5. I know that I`ve laboured this point before BUT looking around stores and forecourts the length of logs in nets seems to be by sight around 8". The difference of say ten logs in a net at 8" and the same number at 10" is 25% more wood in the 10" net yet possibly appearing the same value to the customer. What is considered the optimum length for netted logs to give the perception of value to the customer and best return for the producer
  6. To right ... did you ever see him on that fitness thing where top sportsman compete against each other .. pathetic.. hard as jelly
  7. There you go then .. looks like your all down to selling logs just for the ambience
  8. Second only to Pulp Fiction
  9. But bear in mind I come from a petrol forecourt background
  10. re: Blade runner .. go for `final cut` as opposed to `directors cut` I`m pretty sure thats the one where they fly away at the end to some great sax:thumbup:
  11. That sounds about right to me ... I think everyone is under selling their product
  12. Check before you buy ... I`m pretty sure there are a few different versions
  13. As I mentioned in a previous thread I met up with David and he is going to periodically thin some pigeons out in an old cinema that I am selling for demolition to make way for housing. Seems a great service and the extra activity on site will keep away the Gypsys Tramps and Thieves and hopefully pigeons:001_smile:
  14. Ditto I was just about to ask why you had not put that one up
  15. They wont get it and actually its the meaning of life:001_tongue:
  16. Arranged to meet someone from an Arbtalk thread yesterday .. thats disappointed a few of you:biggrin:... `davidstoncold who put up the squirrel thread.... I have a problem with pigeons in an old cinema that I am trying to sell for housing.. he is going to go in once a week and thin them out .. he does this as a free service and it will also be beneficial having a prescence on the site for security reasons.. well worth considering to keep away those Gypsys Tramps and Thieves
  17. Thats the point I was making on page 2 of this thread:thumbup:
  18. Sam .. do you use a log burner yourself?
