  2. Never been but as I understand it they wont tolerate bent bananas.
  3. You obviously missed my comment on one thread about this years 150k tax bill
  4. Gensetsteve on every thread you moan about how little money there is in logs but yet you keep doing them
  5. I would like to make £1000 from selling a car today, Could someone tell me what car to buy Where to buy it from How to finance the purchase How much to pay for it How much to sell it for Who to sell it to My my this car retailing lark is a doddle.
  6. Its always hard to play God ... just before Christmas I noticed both of my horses heads up in the field looking into my bottom field so I wandered down to see what they were looking at, the mare turned her head and her eye appeared to be hanging on her cheek ( it turned out that it wasnt her eye hanging out but it was a total mess ) she had been diagnosed with cushings 5 years earlier and the vet was ready to put her down then but I nursed her back to health by shouting at her to make her turn over to stop the bed sores .. holding her head up to drink and it gave her 5 more years... she was taken to the vets and when I got the phone call to say that it would be kindest to put her down I just pulled into a car park and sobbed my socks off and couldnt talk about it with anyone for a couple of weeks because I knew I would choke up .... and she was my x`s horse that I kept for her when we split... christ knows what I will be like when the time comes for Ben my horse who is 26 and been with me for 22 years ( 17.2 Hanovarien thoroughbred cross who you dont mess with ) and me and him have had many adventures out in the forests around Sherwood forest.... like I said its always hard to play god but no doubt its the kindest thing to do.
  7. Yes but this last post does prove that when you make the effort you can get your spelling right and make a better impression .... only one spelling mistake in that one ( advice not advise ) and I consider myself to be poor at spelling. I have conducted hundreds of interviews and applications with no effort made to get the spelling correct do not get to the starting line of an interview .. a dictionary is not an expensive item or you can even use predictive text on your mobile to check your spelling.
  8. Yes but thats even stranger .... an Arbtalk member that realises that the `i` before `e` rule does not apply to the word `weird`
  9. The first sign of spring for me is when women start to act strangely
  10. Congratulations .. it really does change your life .. and keep it away from that saw
  11. It would have been nice to see the whole operation ... e.g. bags being lifted and placed into storage.
  12. I was kidding ... its given me a target to aim for
  13. So thats only six bags per man per day and with all that big machinery
  14. How many cube did you get out of that in the end??
  15. No I havent got a loadall but hope to be able to move them around with forks on the tractor but I need to lift from the bottom because its only a small tractor. Hoping to build a barn in spring so I will move those inside when its done and start spacing them more now. Thanks for the advice
  16. Thats where I get my bags from but I am stacking in blocks of 24 and then covering with tarp .. hope the wind gets to the middle ones
  17. Logbaron do you cover the vented bags whilst seasoning?
  18. Put some Tree of Heaven logs around the stove last night that were cut just before Christmas and when I came back into the house today I checked the soles of all the shoes, backs of chairs ( suspecting cats had had an accident ) and then realised that it was the drying logs
  19. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/firewood-forum/13141-tree-heaven-firewood.html I put some next to the stove to dry for a week and it burnt fine but looking at it in the wood store I am worried that it may rot as I put it in there wet and bits of mould have appeared on it. Just two months after being cut the bark is already peeling off. Time will tell.
  20. Ignore the quote bit .. Just get some child locks on those cupboards.
  21. I`m in Derby but if its easier to arrange delivery to Mansfield I could sort that. Quantity all depends on price really.
