    I had a new merc 2.3 cosworth in 88 and then a new merc 2.5 cosworth in 89... it was flash then ( my girlfriend said I looked like a pimp ) but looks very dated now.

  9. I may be one of these `FUSSY` people myself I like to store the wood in the inglenooks and like it to look clean and `pretty`

  11. The bags in the second pic are spaced about 2 to 3 feet apart but in the top pic I didnt realise the need to space them but this doesnt seem to be a factor with the mould as the ones on the tops of the bags are going mouldy.
  12. I`m starting to think the same ... a sort of tent type thing with tyres holding up the centre. But it has been said on here so many times that its not essential to cover them
  13. Any input on this would be greatly appreciated, I am storing logs in vented bags uncovered in a breezy location yet I am still getting a mould on the logs. Horse Chestnut and Sycamore seem to be the worst affected. The logs burn very well but do not look particularly good. I will be building a barn for storage soon but meanwhile am I wasting my time storing them this way or is the mould just an accepted part of wood fuel?

Not at all!!!!!!!!!! just make sure you do things better than your competitors:thumbup: Thats exactly what I thought .. when I was considering doing it I saw a local tree surgeon working and I pulled up and asked if he sold his wood because I was considering starting a firewood business .. he said that if I did he would put me out of business straight away
