  9. I received the following e mail a few days ago, Attorney at law, Barrister&Solicitor Head office: 21rd, g, close, house 18, Festac town Lagos Nigeria Private email: [email protected] Tel:: +234-808-134-8919 Attention: Before I start, I must first apologize for this mail to you. I am aware that this is certainly an unconventional approach to starting a relationship, but as time goes on you will realize the need for my action. My name is Barrister Morgan ibekweoru, a solicitor and the personal attorney to a citizen of your country, who owns a construction company in Nigeria. Here in referred to as my client, on the 26th of December 2004, my client, his wife and their two children were involved in the tsunami Asia disaster. My client and his entire family unfortunately lost their lives in the disaster. Since then I have made several enquiries to your embassy to locate any of my client's extended relatives, which has proved abortive after these several unsuccessful attempts. my main reason for contacting you is to assist me in repatriating the money and property left behind by my client before they are confiscated or declared unserviceable by the bank where the funds redeposited/lodged particularly, the Gulf Bank of (Nig) Plc. Where the deceased has an account with an approximate sum of eighteen million (US) dollars. The said bank has issued me a final notice to provide the next of kin of my client or they will be left with no other choice than to confiscate his funds, a copy of the said notice i will fax to you on getting your reply. Since I have been unsuccessful in locating my client's relatives, now I seek your consent to present you as the next of kin of my client to the bank, going by the fact that both of you has the same nationality, so that the said funds as stated above can be paid to you instead of leaving it for Gulf Bank of (Nig) Plc. we can take part of it and leave the rest to charity. I have the necessary legal documents that can be used to back up any claim we may make. All I require is your honest cooperation to enable us see this arrangement through I guarantee that this will be executed under a legitimate arrangement that will protect you from any breach of the law. Please kindly reply through this private email address: [email protected] Finally kindly give me your confidential Phone/Fax numbers so that I can fax to you all the correspondence between the bank and me. Best Regards, Barrister Morgan ibekweoru (Esq.) E-mail: [email protected] Do you think I should also give him my Bank and credit card details to speed up the transfer

  21. No I dont know all of the teachers in the country. I know two closely as previously stated and there is a contrast for starters. One says poor little me I work all the time and even in my numerous weeks holidays I am still working.. and the other who works many late evenings and weekends says that her job is a doddle and easy, so yes they do come in all shapes and sizes but after having had one child go through the system ( now 19 ) and watched him let down numerous times by his teachers ... example: competing for his school individually against 95 other boys at athletics doing events alien to him, after winning the silver medal (against 95 other pupils from different schools) the teachers were on the bus home not knowing that he had been awarded it. On another occasion he wanted to represent his school in another athletics competition and the teacher had to put you forward. When he went to ask to enter the teacher said yes I was going to ask you about that as my son watched him sneak the application form out of the bin. This same teacher forged practical exam results and was caught and subsequently the students were penalised. I watched a new headmaster make a big speech about pupils representing the school in their behavior even outside school hours and then when it suited him say `well we have no control outside school hours`. My daughter who is now 15 has on numerous occasions turned up for meetings with teachers who have failed to show so yes I do think standards have slipped.
  22. Spoke to a teacher today who has read this thread and she was telling me that they have a parents evening next week... she said `so if someone punches me in the mouth I will say ah how do you do, you will be an Arbtalk member then`
