  1. Well done Steve .. it shows your doing something right
  2. I have this pile if anyone would like to make any offers,
  3. Thats a terrible incident to have happen when at the end of the day all your brother was doing is enjoying leisure time .. he wasnt climbing a tree, riding a motorbike, driving a car. The dogs owner needs taking to task on this.
  4. Its not what I intended Steve. I thought the title that I originally put would attract the people in the know about these traditions, and as far as I know it is only done by that particular group of people.
  5. Whilst I expected the edit to the title I think you are wrong in this instance. If you google it you will find that it is this particular group of people who do this.
  6. Has anyone ever come across a horse having a plait put into its mane prior to being stolen? It happened to a friends daughters horse at the weekend.
  7. I think that should be incinerated. This makes me realise what low life scum we are dealing with, with this particular group of people. They targeted a friends daughters horse this weekend to steal knowing that because of their profession they would be out of the country this weekend.
  8. They look exactly the same as the ones that I use which are, .48 x .48 x.90 = .207 cube Has someone rounded up the measurement a little
  9. That sounds like a polite way of saying that they dont want to supply the competition Steve
  10. A little over .2 cube although some quote .25 for what looks exactly the same bag. I deliver free of charge for 5 bags and over within a 20 mile radius.
  11. I had someone phone me last winter asking for the price of logs .. I was stood in a dark snowy field with a 17.2 horse in one hand and the phone in the other.. I quoted £100 for 5 Barrow bags of hardwood and he said that he could get them for £40. I said that I would buy them for that if he wanted to give me the persons address. He phoned a week later and ordered from me saying that the other person had let him down. Months later he came over to me in Asda and said `You sold me some logs and they are the best we have ever had`
  12. Thanks Jon .. I really do prefer them to the vented bags
  13. I need to have this full soon, just a very small sample
  14. I saw this coming when I set up and thats why I went for this simple setup which just about deals with anything
  15. In future could you strim the grass around the pallets before taking pictures in order to help us armchair critics in our task
  16. Should have put it on pallets to let the air flow through the bottom.
  17. I have just started reading through this thread and was about to say exactly the same thing. As soon as I saw the Firewood advert on the truck I thought big mistake.
  18. When you start a thread at 1.30 in the morning titled `i cant sleep` and then just inform us that there are no biscuits in the house
  19. By far my favourite wood to split is sycamore whether by axe or splitter.
  20. Dear Mum Letter..... A mother passing by her son's bedroom was astonished to see the bed was nicely made, and everything was picked up. Then, she saw an envelope, propped up prominently on the pillow. It was addressed, 'Mum' With the worst premonition, she opened the envelope and read the letter, with trembling hands. 'Dear, Mum. It is with great regret and sorrow that I'm writing you. I had to elope with my new girlfriend, because I wanted to avoid a scene with Dad and you. I've been finding real passion with Stacy, and she is so nice, but I knew you would not approve of her, because of all her piercing's, tattoos, her tight Motorcycle clothes, and because she is so much older than I am. But it's not only the passion, Mum. She's pregnant. Stacy said that we will be very happy. She owns a trailer in the woods, and has a stack of firewood for the whole winter. We share a dream of having many more children. Stacy has opened my eyes to the fact that marijuana doesn't really hurt anyone. We'll be growing it for ourselves, and trading it with the other people in the commune, for all the cocaine and ecstasy we want. In the meantime, we'll pray that science will find a cure for AIDS, so Stacy can get better. She sure deserves it!! Don't worry Mum, I'm 15, and I know how to take care of myself. Someday, I'm sure we'll be back to visit, so you can get to know your many grandchildren. Love, your son, Nicholas. “P.S. Mum, none of the above is true. I'm over at Jason's house. I just wanted to remind you that there are worse things in life than the school report that's on my desk” I love you! Call when it is safe for me to come home.
  21. Brilliant ... as everyone has said, would like to see it on a big screen
  22. I struggled to sleep last night but reading this thread put me to sleep immediately
