  2. Also when i have had problems they always seem to be with the Knott chassis not the jenson bits.
  3. I have run an older one for 4 years. It spends less time in workshop than t wolf. But heavy to move on your own. I have not seen the 750kg model yet but it will a decision between tracked or tow when the time comes. Does anyone know if a tracked machine can throw the chip far enough to be left on its trailer pulled up outside a house or does it need unloading first? ie is the infeed chute to high up to load?   4. mine has melted twice in 5 yrs. The last time was about 3 weeks ago when it was used to chog down a large leylandii trunk. the chain brake goes on fine but you couldnt switch it off with the chain brake handle. About £17 for new handle and half hour to fit.

  9. i have a white mulberry sat round the back in sections up to about 3ft by 24" it seems too good to log. the heartwood is a much more golden colour. when i get an alaskan i will mill it

  12. a knackered old freelander and a 7ft by12 ft trailer made out of an old caravan. We used to have some good bonfires. Then bought an old jenson 6" road tow and talked anyone i could into keeping the chippings. Then a yr later bought an ex council 6 year old citroen relay crewcab caged tipper. :001_smile:
  13. This is correct but if they cannot remember your trading name they may well struggle to find you next time they need you 4yrs down the line when you maybe expanded and moved onto different place? Once you start with a name you are pretty well stuck with it.

  18. You sound like a decent bloke to me. I looked after elderly ladys garden next door for 4 years then i reached the stage i had to move to a bigger house. I felt really guilty and didnt know how to tell her i would be gone in a few weeks so i rang the local council housing officer explained the situation and they organised someone to cut it for about £2 a week. Result. I never took money but she always bought the kids a packet of sweets bless. I still help people that i feel genuinely need it. BUT i always refuse politely and offer to quote for churchyard requests as they have more money and land than any of us could imagine.

  25. with a little help yes, the colour shows the decline and that pic is nearly 3yrs ago but i will put some current pics up tomorrow. Client wanted it gone but i recommended reduce to monolith and let nature take its course. Dave the postie says it been going for years.
