  2. Thankyou, the other dessicated bodies all round also match you pics in the fungi directory. The tree had a 50% crown reduction approx 5 years ago. Now at least 50% of remaining crown is also dead.
  3. It's going to become a monolith shortly regardless as there are brackets all round many layers up to about 1 m and houses located behind, The crown is 50% dead Next shots are underneath the bracket It's an oak, Thankyou

  6. i did mine with angle grinder about 4 yr ago because i had top one out for a bearing and did bottom one with little grinder from infeed chute and now they are about ready to be done again. i do remember noticing the difference afterwards.

  9. i am with you on this one. i usually bore downwards about 2 inches deep straight into cambium at 3 or 4 places and advise customer to add glyphosate themselves. Also would use of the eco-plugs require pa1 and 6?

    2 or3 pints between finishing work and tea at 7. better this time of year than summer !!! probably 4 days a week on average.

  16. careful site specific risk assesment with plenty of extra time costed in. i charge for extra risks, also these type of sites usually have security issues regarding theft of kit and need an extra man to watch the tools and keep lowlife away whilst working. i try to avoid if possible or price high enough it is worth your while doing.
  17. i have a 528 also that has squeaked from feed rollers for well over a year. Just keep greasing it but makes little difference. Having read your post and mikes comments it will be in workshop sat for further investigation/repair. Thanks

  23. got a big maccy to get down as soon as wind drops one large branch already on the ground obliterating fence on the way down.
  24. how far are you wanting to move? is it possible to keep your better existing customers whilst you establish yourself in the new area? it took me about 18 months but i only moved 20 miles.
  25. just lit the fire with handful of bark and few logs off the cherry heap then onto the pile of nice ash.
