  1. tractor is ferrari vega rs 85 Lamberhurst Engineering . with seppie fixed tooth flail will do a surprising amount of work ! I don’t know if the 250 has bigger bearings set up for crane but this chipper was bought off of the Osbourns stand at the Lockerby APF and we have had no problems with it but we have suffered flywheel into anvil on hand fed disc chipper with end float on shaft, am happier stuffing trunks into the hiezohack but have pushed the limits of the TP thankfully without and disaster so far , Ferrari has surprising ability ! off road not found its limits yet!
  2. I could mulch it
  3. Ecological issues will be an issue and need to be sorted by others i.e ecologist on site
  4. We have this TP 250 on Valtra T190 based in Milton Keynes
  5. Unlucky! We were only out chipping today , thankfully , where were you in mk
  6. Unfortunately I have found the same as the other posts there is a minimum size , girth and length before trunk has value , I spent a day digging root out on 1 job scrounged a fork lift to load begged a storage capacity and spent a week trying to sell was told good for gun buts, Germans pay a fortune for it etc eventually sold it for 250 but unless it is clean and of correct size, possibly worth more as logs , shame aint it
  7. no was just 1 that appeared:confused1: we cut by hand, hedging type material on the edge of a plantation and a couple of hours into chipping clang! was careful because of old barbed wire and newer stock fence and had caught a bit of wire earlier but …. happens
  8. sorry that was a bit of a short answer!! i'll try again
  9. yep..
  10. Not recommended but managed to carry on for rest of the day without having to change anything, luckily noticed the ‘noise’ stopped and then reversed the infeed drive I think it would have killed most other chippers, put a few dents in blades and holders! Will take photos of rotor and teeth when I get a chance. G50 metal some of it on the chip heep:cursing:

  16. I have a client requiring a commercial site clearance ‘now’ in Eltham I guess you will need cscs cards etc, the site is Eltham Baths and includes trees in the site overhanging public road, ecology will be an issue that needs sorting. I have limited time otherwise would have a go myself. Cheers J
  17. My brother-in-law uses one, bought a kit with all the sharpening paraphernalia and really enjoys the experience, have to say it looks as if you need a bit of nerve to get started and confident with it but gives a super clean shave, I guess if you enjoy getting a good edge on axe, bill hook, saw etc. then this will be very satisfying way of shaving, yes I went the beard route some time ago! A marvellous disguise as well time saver but…… have not had one for a few years now
