  2. Easy - lift guy thank you for the time and effort put into the above means and methods, I think you are correct in identifying a lack of coordinated effort on our, the owner / supplier side, and sadly the apparent lack of response and support from ‘the law’. It would be good if this kick starts a few owner – supplier into national action, my understanding in simple terms is that anything that makes the item harder and longer to steal is a step in the right direction, the ability to I D the machine and be able to check on a register and also devices that enable the machine to be tracked, I also understand that our uk police have the ability only to track 1 of the commercial devices fitted , making a bit of a monopoly for the co. again thanks for you postings lets hope it sets the seed of better security, cheers

I’ve not bee there recently but there is mention I n the book of each band wheel bearing needing 3 monthly greasing! Hope this helps.

  17. What model is it? We had a problem with one of ours some time ago the dealer changed the clutch pack and found out later that it was the wire to the sensor at the output shaft, if same on yours it is covered by an angled piece of metal just to the right of the shaft , a rather vulnerable place for our work, I believe this senses the speed of the shaft and compares it with the input side and if there is a % of difference it disconnects the drive , it feels exactly the same as a badly slipping clutch, worth a try . if you need more info call, cheers J
  18. Inside page of latest forestry journal states ‘ introducing the new MS201T ‘ and more with visit the ARB show for your chance to win a new MS 201T !! see you there
  19. Best usage I have ever seen for cankered ash was the woodfair at Bentley wildfowl the other year where a v. skilled wood turner had crafted bowls vases and other vessels, not saying you would get much selling canker, but much better result than fire wood ! I will try to find a link to the turner. it is good habitat if you can leave it though
  20. Thanks for feed back, I will try to get agreement with rac for future and if not will go shopping around, don’t want to get into a situation miles away from base with loaded truck and chipper to find huge bill waiting for me, cheers
  21. After a situation where I needed to get a dead pickup truck moved a few miles away to get fixed and having asked the R A C, with whom I have been a member for ages, to help and receiving the reply ‘as it is a commercial vehicle and over x long we can get you a price’ and that being i.r.o. £ 300.00 . I realise it may be a sensible contingency to find cover before I need it next! Any suggestions, help, experiences good or bad appreciated.
