    Unimog

Love em or hate em if your going to get 1 get a good 1, if they go bang ( see below) it costs ! but you do do more, feel more, chip more, move more ( spend more):001_smile:with a mog. or get Stan to build you a wooden 1! respect.
  7. If this is for chippers of the larger size, the only person I know to have fitted, retrospectively, infeed roller assist ram is Alex Price of AC Price Engineering - Home and that is to some of the hiezohack chipper range , if it is for ? smaller chippers I have seen in the past a lever attached to top roller allowing downward pressure to be applied to increase infeed drive to material .

  12. Oh that may help my thinking, the guy I worked with had 2 tracked 1 driving rack bench and the other with a boughton winch for extraction and stump pulling the 3rd wheeled one with a cross cut saw mounted on the front with a smaller winch on the back, I can remember his delight at getting a roadless fordson with an electric start that we then helped to start the others with. How times change

  14. Posted this before and add it to this thread, found by using metal detector and saved us at least 1 blade, used in build of green oak timber framed workshop with wood and ‘find’ incorporated into building , our milling but wood supplied another for build. V. interesting post with fowler tractor, I started in the mid 60’s working weekends with a man who had 3 fowlers with American inserted tooth rack bench sawing mining and shipping dunnage blocks , brings back memories! Good luck sawing wood not metal!

  23. Because of EU current sulphur content of red is not acceptable Red Diesel, Gas Oil New E U legislation as from 01 Jan 11 from this date we will not be allowed to use current spec red in non-road mobile machinery NRMM this includes tractors, other agricultural equipment, forestry equipment, construction equipment forklifts, portable generators, and inland vessels. There will be 2 alternative fuels available and both will be more expensive than our current red and we need to be using this from above date! No prices yet
