  1. Venables way by far the more cost effective , I forgot earlier to mention that mog trailers are unique in that they are more balanced than most ag trailers in that they have less drawbar weight, you need to base any trailer build or conversion ideally on an already purposes built mog trailer if you are lucky you may be able to find a 2nd hand one ( ex military?) and go from there, certainly the trailers I have seen and advice we have had from Alex have been good, we have a 2nd hand one ourselves
  2. these people About Us - Cherry Products, Oxfordshire built/converted a trailer for us, as above not cheap but good quality , rockinger hitch is the one to use .
  3. found this today Gissing thought of it for my self but ? think it could be good , worth checking out
  4. For all stump grinder teeth keeping them sharp is a definite advantage and especially for pedestrian grinders, the easiest way of achieving this is by using the diamond attachment for angle grinders and sharper either on or off the machine, £40.00 ish Please be aware that ppe is a must for this I have had the small triangles of diamond come off the blade and stick into my face! Greenwheel grind stones for bench grinders possibly being the next option and if you do a lot then look at diamond grind stone for bench grinder .
  5. I thought you bought them not sold em!
  6. better view of crane mounting, if you need more give us a call , cheers J. ps exhaust now moved to stop crane soot!
  7. Yep jake plate, Caledonian supply ( both of em) they built the 1st one and I should have had them fit the 2nd as well, not so top heavy but slightly restricted vision, still got my holder ? !!!
  8. or a newer one?
  9. would you like an old one
  10. use a see through mac then
  11. tiz done (i hope!)
  12. We have looked for a set to serve 3 people working together in traffic, craning, dismantling and other situations and have not found any with ideal set up, we have looked at blue tooth, voice activated, spoken to peltor and others but not found one that we thought to be ‘the one’ am not keen on wires dangling and receiver/transmitter hitched on to belt or pocket and also feel the need to be able to temporally not transmit to all ! ie whilst cursing at or speaking to others good luck, if we find a good un we’ll post it cheers J
  13. As an alternative to working on trees shrubs and hedges, but possibly to assist ‘marketing’ For those asking or inquisitive pictures in action can be found at RallyGallery.com, rally photography - Event Images car 57 if you look for results you may be, as we were disappointed, rod through block on 1st stage !! back to the drawing board .
  14. here's one of ours up a Cedar from earlier this year
  15. seen the other day on a walk near woburn on birch , most of trunk covered

  18. I am green and red with envy ! fancied one for years missed one at auction in Somerset 20 or so years ago , wilsons had one and I think & were looking for an engine , sweet good find , even got a bit of mog in it a ! you just can't get away from it
  19. Nice Job! , good opportunity for vid footage, Out of interest what herbicide and dye you using
  20. Steering drawbar v. useful especially with negotiating tight turning ie getting out of end of thinning row onto ride or similar situation as above with view to side of trailer when loading , also with reversing it is amazing what you can do using system, please be careful to centre the trailer before using on road !! you can guess the rest, most trailers have a pin to lock the trailer when in road transport mode , ram cost seems a little high for repair poss worth getting 2nd opinion, good luck
  21. there is an old county one + a 3 ton one up on well known auction site e... now
  22. Brilliant 1st effort well done, be careful when pricing to do hedge laying you need to cover the supply and transport of stakes and binders and also the chipping, burning or removal of arisings, we have charged a similar ammount, all the best for the future laying .
  23. its all my fault, it always was, still is and will be
  24. found this before we hit it with small detector, saved a lot of hell!
  25. yep cost a bit in new springs but worth it i think, ps drove over our best and newest 026 with the fendt the other day, fendt 1 / 026 nil , although a good impresion of saw in soil, to upset to take a photo!!
