  1. Hi all what is it with these landrovers, people rant and rave about them from personal experience I find they rub the skin of 1 knee with handbrake no skin on your other due to drivers door, they just seem over priced to me and old fasioned compared to other motors and come on whats with all them rivets showing on the outside. From previous dealings I find the Jap motors are better all round and a hell of alot cheaper.
  2. This is all a very dark subject someone once told me if the 7.5 tonner is unladen you can tow a twin axle trailer soon found that to be un-true. When all the pro's and con's are looked at its often worth getting a haulier in and letting them have all the red tape and hassle.
  3. maximum behind a 7.5 ton is 750kg no double axle trailers either dont know about 6.5 tonner towing a trailer (VOSA wouldnt make it that easy I know).
  4. I have a 7.5 tonner mate when you consider you can get 2 ton on a tranny and only 3 ton on a 7.5 tonner I often wonder if what you benefit is worth it. You have the operators licence blue our orange disc depending whether you hold a c.p.c our carrying other peoples goods on hire our reward. Then test on the vehicle which comes under HGV test station (BALL ACHE). Then 6 weekly checks our 12 depending on your mileage all this then tacho's our log books. But suprisingly at the minute the tax seems pretty cheap!!
  5. Hi Yeti your in prime forestry ground up there I used to live up there and loved it:001_smile:
  6. Try a trakker 365 its a carp fishing sleeping bag very good. The outer skin is waterproof and the added bonus of a crash zip just in case you get caught short!
  7. Hi Tom did I speak to you last year and put you in touch with a bloke in Burton on Trent?
  8. Done some work up there 7+ years ago I was working for a subby who worked for sheffields if i remember correctly they are based at Southwaite might be worth a phone call. We worked mainly local Armathwaite, Lazonby, Kirkoswold towards the end we was up near Brampton. Always hand cutting but you did have to work hard to make any candy.
  9. Dont get to carried away with the mag as it highlights the wobble. Simple 3-9-40 is plenty.
  10. Firewood is hard graft lets not forget we can all buy work and become busy idiots!!! A honest day for honest pay:thumbup:

  12. yer sorry about that, nice spot thanks im in the Coventry area thanks
  13. Hi all Right i have bought roughly 50 bags of kindling wood. My plan was to split it up and sell with my logs, but i dont think i really have time to split it all so i am thinking of selling the lot. I am after £5 a bag and it would need to be collected. Let me know if you are interested cheers Jamie
  14. I have husky 357 xp cant fault it this is my second worn the first out after 12 months of hard day in day out felling still runs but has carb problems. Also have a ms361 people advised me they are all round plenty of power, torque and quick acceleration to be truthfull they both perform very well just a case of personal preference.

  20. Lol this is great Really made me chuckle:thumbup:
  21. We Have a daihatsu fourtrak commercial and its great. there are abit cheaper than the land rover but similar no frills Vehicle. its a great tool. We use it for work in the day the day and we also use it for lamping and up until now we having got stuck (using common sense).
  22. I would of thought you can advertise it in weighted bags if you advertise it correctly. if you put logs for sale IN a 1ton builders bag, you are not sayin that its 1ton of logs but its in a 1ton builders bag which is what them bags are, you are only stating what they are packaged in.
