  4. Fendts are said to be the Rolls Royce of tractors. The 936 model puts out something like 300 hp at the pto.

  6. It would be nice to for me to penalise them for a late payment on a tax rebate they owe me
  7. I do you think with age you begin to think its not all about the money but more the value of life. I know that I will never be rich but as long as I can pay the bills and have a few quid in my pocket to go for a pint I'm happy with that. I wouldn't want to wake up in the morning and dread going to work as some people do I will take less money and get enjoyment from my job:001_smile:
  8. Iveco all day long find them good towing, lower geared than transit and carry the weight well.
  9. Once that sawdust is behind your ears you struggle to get away!
  10. I struggl to get £100 a cube in Warwickshire but a good cold spell a lot of log suppliers sell out. You then find people are prepared to pay for quality seasoned logs. I always get plenty of messers at the start of winter " I will ask my wife and get back to you" we all know that chestnut!!
  11. Thanks for speedy reply's the logs in question are part seasoned but planned to get them seasoned for 2014. MCA Kingstone looked decent bags compared to others I viewed. I will take a look at SG Baker not come across them before. Thanks again Jamie
  12. Hi I am about to order some vented bags but unsure of which to choose. I see plenty of different types on the market does anyone have any preference to a particular type / supplier etc. Looked on plenty on Bag Supplies (out of stock), Medallion and MCA Kingstone.I just want to make the right choice as they are pretty expensive. Thanks Jamie
  13. Yes Ben I hired it from Kilworth top class people along with cracking service:thumbup1:. My brother was operating it as he got the hang if it pretty quick and I was loading with the forklift. Think you made a good choose there pal.
  14. Yes mate a proper day no half measures. Good machine and perfect weather.
  15. We didn't have a crane only using the small log deck which hooks on the side of the processor when in transport. Although I was loading the deck with a forklift slightly tricky at first. We started the pile at 7.00am and finished at 9.00pm with a couple of breaks throughout the day. A great machine to use.
  16. we recently hired a Tajfun 400 for £300 per day self operated. Good machine put 25 ton through it in a day well worth the money.
  17. Just bought some jungle formula I will know tomorrow if it works. I seem to be like a free meal ticket to them bloody horse flies. I do find lighting a smoke up keeps them away but cannot do that all day.
  18. One old woodsman told me " It's not a job but a way of life". The next comment was " If you want to make a million out the woods start with two and you will end up with one".
  19. Stick on the M74 quicker I would of thought. The A roads are nice for views etc depends if your in a hurry.
  20. Im based in midlands and had no problems sourcing hardwood.
  21. They were the bees knees in there day the vitesse and vandem Plas.
  22. Check out " tractor in a rush" on you tube. Sorry don't know how you put links up.
  23. Thought so the lorry looks familiar I think the timber has come from the wood I'm currently working in. Mixture of ash, beech and hornbeam.
  24. Has the timber on the left hand lorry been through a harvester looks very little bark on some of it.
