  1. I like to start early and finish early. Get in to the woods about 6am. I always find a nice cotton shirt helps seems to be allow more air around your body than a T-shirt. I work with some lads that leave the chainsaw trousers in the van but that's there choice.
  2. Not to sure there is a specified depth of cover on private property. Doubt very much it will be a fibre cable more than likely just a simple couple of pair cable. Can you not joint it yourself using decent connecters. I did mole plough a lot of BT cables in rural areas years ago we only put it 10 inches down even shallower on a Friday afternoon or weekend!!
  3. The last couple of days I've been driving a JD 7810 it has over 10.000hrs on it and still runs as sweet as a nut. drove 30 miles to the job worked it hard all day then came home again. They dont make them like they used to.
  4. Agree completely I think the killing instinct disapears with age. I used to shoot alot of foxes but dont bother anymore just cannot see the point in shooting them then chucking them in the ditch but on the other hand I do like a rabbit for the pot but feel its more justified as its eaten if this makes any sense.
  5. I think that could be Bag Supplies mate they are based in Penrith but I could be wrong:confused1:
  6. Thats where I know him from Moreton Morrell had a few dealings with him after college. I will try and find his number through a few contacts.
  7. That makes firewood sound depressing. Seems like your feathers are down and you've had enough.
  8. Is that Adam Reed from out Stratford/Alcester way?
  9. I have found Posch are like hens teeth second hand been on the phone to Wilsons regular for second hand processor but just cannot find one. They have a 300 advertised but that went 3 months+ ago but its still on there website.
  10. Yeah the drugs dealers would be the one's with pots of cash!!!
  11. Don't use it much cartridges are expensive . Put plenty in the pot over the years but I've always found it to be abit nocturnal when I was younger. Good bit of kit tho!!!
  12. Silenced 410 what a tool. I love mine they are a proper poachers gun!!
  13. Very easy to use just select whether your detecting Power (electric), radio (bt cables, cable tv/ and any other telecommunications). There is genny which is used to find specific cable route's such as finding lampost lighting cables as very low current through daylight hours. To operate just select one of the above setting depending on what your looking for have the volume/sensitivity at the maximum then scan the area in a criss cross diraection if you get a trace just turn the sensitivity down till you pin point your underground apparatus. Very similar to using a metal detector our ferret finder. hope this may help
  14. The fourtracks are good old tools pull well and pretty much bombproof. Ive had a few and found they suffer with rust where as the engine will go forever. As regards to juice there pretty thirsty.
  15. Go get a picture quickly as proof before they fill it in otherwise its your word against the council's:sneaky2:
  16. Could you possibly put a Disco 4 and a Amazon in the same catergory! The Toyota is streets ahead.
  17. AP pavers there from Derby area. They have loads of gear
  18. I think they where intented originally for tarmac. They are hooked on to the tipping bar of a lorry so it could be tipped in too and pulled by the one vehicle whilst leveling at the same time.
  19. Sounds a good idea to me. After such a hard journey to get here in the first place it seems a pity to shoot them. Dont get me wrong im a keen shooter, lamper, ferreter and carp/coarse and fly fisherman!. Each to there own mind I enjoy seeing woodcock about just the same as hare's.
  20. We have seen alot of woodcock at my dads in Cumbria this but however wonder sometimes if they are worth shooting. There is very little meat on them but seem to provide more in the way of a good sporting shot. Personally I dont lift the gun anymore at woodcock. Im getting older and seem to value life a little more dont know if anybody else finds this. I was a sh** shot anyway:001_smile:
  21. And a bigger log basket.
  22. Just my personal preference but I think money is somtimes. "The root of all evil" especially in the wrong hands.
  23. Have you tried looking at the smaller insulated units like those on the back of the tesco, asda, etc vans. They do come up for sale the biggest problem would be moving them.
  24. Hi big j make sure you do post back I would be interested in your findings as been thinking on the same lines of a kiln myself
