  1. Super pics you should try sending some to countryfile might get on the calender
  2. Your certainly right about mixie what a terrible disease. Me and my brother get endless amounts of rabbits from ferreting and lamping and most of the time struggle to give them away let alone get £8.50 a piece for them. I like to think we can tell a healthy rabbit from diseased one. Love coming in from work to the smell of a good rabbit stew on a cold winters day theres sparks coming of my spoon as I get it down us!
  3. Never tried squirrel but often thought about it they look good tasty eating:blushing:. Me and our lass eat rabbit once sometimes twice a week I love it stewed, caserolled, bolognaise and in a pie its cracking meat.
  4. Hi have a serious look at the woodwarms you wont be disapointed. I have a 9kw and cannot fault it im no expert been around plenty of stoves and never regret choosing a woodwarm.
  5. At present theres a posch cutmaster on ebay (search under firewood proccesors) they have no feedback and based in the Shetlands I smell a rat but apologise if genuine.
  6. Me and my friend bought a posch saw great machine wouldn't be without it
  7. Does nobody rate internationals I have a 354 and have no problems with it ( touch wood) I do find the spares cheap too. I see Cambridge auction is soon plenty of tractors there but you have to be careful people often take kit there thats tired with problems.
  8. Hi im planning on using a forklift thinking that would be the easy option available to me. The mini digger with grapple as Nick says sounds a good idea but yet more expense and more diesel/servicing etc.
  9. I have never used the fox pro but looked at them before and thought they were pricey. Never yet gone down the electronic approach but must have 5 or so manual callers and always come back to the squeak of the hand. Time and time again the basic call has accounted for plenty of charlies but some nights they are not interested in any calls whatsover.
  10. She's a right Bobby Dazzler
  11. Hi Nathan let me know when they arrive I wouldnt mind having a look where are you based. We not to far from Coventry
  12. Yesterday I did a couple of hours on the 280 and from what I seen and achieved was more impressed than I first imagined. The blade did start to jam on a few occasions but found if you stopped just short of the stop plate it allowed slight movement in the log to be cut it seemed to releave and friction and resistance. The guy who owns the proccesssor is running it of a small Iseki tractor and says if the blade did jam the tractor will stall so using a big tractor could cause belt damage. Well impressed with the splitter logs did pretty somtimes not fall on the side and had to be manually adjusted which was not to much of an issue as shoved it right up against the knife cut another log and split them in one stroke. Shame the elevator doesnt fold in half this could make transporting on a tractor sometimes tricky. overall impressed.
  13. We were working in that area on thursday we were on the move in the tractors and spreaders I do recall going by a yard doing firewood. Very good chance it was you not to far of the A5.
  14. Will do im only in Warwickshire so if I do end up buying a machine you would be more than welcome to come for a view. Im of to have a go with the 280 today so will let you know the outcome.
  15. Thanks John, Steve and Steph for your help. I have the chance to have a day on a Posch 280 even though its slightly smaller there cannot be a massive difference, just to get the hang of things. Then after abit of hands on experience I will decide whether the S-300 our even the processor route is for me. Thanks Jamie:001_smile:
  16. I have a 20 ton posch splitter at the moment and there isnt much it wont split. I will take a look at the dalen, it does pay to do your homework. Went to the APF with an open mind and posch seemed a very sturdy looking machine compared with others on the market.

  18. Thats the position with me I have great expectations and not sure if they will impress me as much as i hope. When your spending 5 figures you expect to see a heap of logs in very little time, with the right cord. Things dont sound as easy as that!!. Thanks jamie

  20. Hi John currently selling just over 100 tons per annum. I dont currently own a processor but thinking of buying a good machine that will have a good resale value. Never considered a Dalen any model inparticular ?.What machine do you use? Thanks Jamie

  22. Thanks Steph by the sound's of it you are not very imprressed. I'm in two minds to carry on as normal with splitter and saw bench. I just dont want to spend alot of hard earned money on a machine that's not up to the job.

  24. Hi all. Sorry yet another firewood processor question: We are considering increasing our log production and currently looking at purchasing a Posch -300. They seem a well built reliable machine, could anybody advise me if they are worth the extra money compared with cheaper processor's. The good points:thumbup1: and bad points:thumbdown:. Any reply's would be very helpfull and greatly appreciated. thanks again Jamie
