  1. Surely tree work of some kind or another will expand to service the demand for wood as a green fuel?
  2. My pleasure. It's nice to be able to put something back
  3. You want Nikwax, not Dubbin. Dubbin rots the stitching.
  4. Imagine if he had done that with the saw still running
  5. I'd like to thank all the members who take the time to answer questions from noobs like myself, knowing they answered the self same questions so many times in the past and will do again in the future. I'd also like to offer a very big Thank You to all the people who are giving me a chance to prove myself and get started in this great business
  6. I have Felix the cat on my right upper arm, hence the screen-name. Why Felix? Because I think he is cool
  7. LOL, thought I should explain why your ears may have been burning
  8. A couple of people asked me to say hi, by the way. Simon, climber with EssexArb, and Spike Hunter.
  9. Only fair, seeing as the employee gains a benefit as well as the employer.
  10. Comes down to .177 or.22. It's air rifle o'clock
  11. Lighting a fire is just one of many life skills that seem to be getting lost
  12. That's the whole week sorted. Thank you to the people giving me a chance to prove myself and thanks to everyone who took the time to read this post.
  13. Bet my missus wouldn't nick that to do her legs with!
  14. My sympathy to you. It's always such a hard decision to put a pet to sleep.
  15. Glad you put the 2nd pics up as I thought I had missed something lol. Lovely woods and a nice bit of turning there, Ian.
  16. I reckon it nearly parted his hair for him once
  17. Cool, but I wonder how many digs/near-misses he has had off it.
  18. Very nice, but not as nice as the real one I saw flying over the job in Ongar that I was doing today. Was quite a day for wildlife as when I got to the site, my 1st job was getting the neighbour's horse back into its own field rather than the playing field of the nursery school. Second was shovelling up after it had been in there all weekend:001_rolleyes:
  19. Or toothpaste back in the tube LOL As long as there is some airflow, they should be fine. Like you say, they won't be hanging around for long anyway
  20. When you say the bags are unvented, are they totally enclosed or can water vapour escape when the temperature gets warm? I must admit that I missed the "big bagged" bit and was thinking you were doing something like poly-bags
  21. I know, but it doesn't stop me cursing the bloody things when I get home covered in black gunge

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.

If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.
