Similarly: The only way to be certain not to make any mistakes, is to never do anything in the first place. But that doesn't get you anywhere either.

You should be aware that ISO 9001 certification says nothing about the quality of your work. It only ensures that you have management processes in place to handle quality related issues, and can document the level of your quality. I am very doubtful that it would be worth your investment (time and money) in the end. Which potential customer would choose you because of an ISO 9001 certification? If you have time (and money) on your hands, I'd rather spend the time improving your website (if you have one) or other marketing related initiatives. That would be more likely to have a positive return on investment.

The problem with beech is that it rots and stains very easily if it is wet for prolonged periods. Så as a kitchen top, it generally gets stained around the sink and faucets quite quickly, regardless of how you treat it. Beech i great for chopping boards, as long as they are allowed to dry out completely after use.
