  1. Yes mate ,bought 1 a couple of years ago , it's brilliant , although I think the PrIce has shot up recently it's splits anything you Put on it , I can fill a level load of my landy in just over an hour once you get a system they really arnt that slow , it's legally a decent road towable one unlike some crappy Chinese ones on the market , I reckon I've paid for the machine with jobs I've taken it to after felling their trees ,
  2. Get yourself a decent towable Wallenstein hydraulic ash , cracking machine worth the penny's ! If I get a job local I can use it on you can have a look
  3. as others as have said 5 grand could be sorted better ways than going bankrupt but if he does and wants to keep his car he will have to prove why it is so valuable to his work and why he cant get a cheaper one , . they cant touch work tools and if the car is valued under 1000 pounds they cant touch it , but if he say owns a 3500 pound car and wanted to keep that one he would need to find 2500 to buy it back off the the official reciever , unless like i say he can simply prove that no other vehical other than the one he owns will do the job ,. if he owns a 20 grand landrover to drive to the yard in to meet work mates he could do that in a 300 quid fiat so they would take it as an asset ,, if he does go bankrupt he would also need to watch what he earns for the next 3 years as if he earns to much they can take money away to cover past debts , so basically for 3 years you need to make sure your outgoings are as high as possible ! the whole car thing is down to how much of a friendly official reciever he would get !
  4. i think if your experienced enough to know when its its a good idea to leave a peg to stand on , like if there is an awkward bit of the stem thats on a lean to chuck and cut and the peg is gona make it easyer to get a good grip and simply take the weight of you and give your foot a rest then yes i think stubs are good in the right situation but i wouldnt leave them dotted all over the show as they can be more of pain then anything
  5. I nearly lost my little girl when she was 4 monthes to meningitis she had nearly 16 injections in one afternoon and i had to hold her tight while the nurse done a lumber puncture on her spine,it was the most horrific week of my life and will never forget the day the peadriatric nurse told me she may not make it !.fortunatly she is now 7 next week with no effects from such a horrible illness . i regularly make donations to now because of it being so close to home ,obviously not every one is gona make a donation to meningitis trust but to some people it means the world . like others have said something has gota be better than nothing. and to some one out there its gona mean a whole lot more to ,more than we could ever understand , so if it brings a smile to a little child to see one direction all dressed up then so be it ! good on em
  6. sorry should have turned them round !
  7. heres a couple from a siccy butt, pictures dont do justice to the size of them ,
  8. the streets are litered with stumps that have been debarked and they all sucker and look healthy and then all die off from ded , dont hink think ive seen a sucker yet to survive
  9. yeh the problem with leaving "trap trees" is that they have to remember to leave enough budget to clear them at the end of the summer otherwise all youve done is create the perfect habitat ! im not sure im convinced myself , i cant see why a beetle would prefer a dead trunk to a fresh leaf
  10. it might not ? it could last for years , i know plenty that have survived in between a hedge row where everthing else has died ,
  11. ive still got the pointy file you gave me ! to be honest i was in a rush and i picked up a torx 45 instead of the 50 so went wrong from there , good chatting take it easy
  12. yes shane bearings are behaving nicely ! although i did spend this afternoon drilling out a rounded bolt on the blades ! ive gota change then for the alan key ones those torx ones dont last too long , and yes still a landy nut cant go wrong with the 300 , although ive not had a cracking week as i serviced it last week and when i changed the airfilter a washer fell off and ended up inside the new one and got drawn into the turbo and blew it up ! it was a horrible noise to say the least ! back on the road now though so all good
  13. too true shane , and then when you do get a job job you have to re-book cos of the sodding rain , i think every one has different times of year they get quiet , but your right as far as staying calm and waiting for the calls !:thumbup1:your be pleased to know your old chipper is still going strong !
  14. glad you put this up , ive gota get started every year i have it planned to start earlier but never happens , ive got a thing about growing chilli plants , i done these from seeds of the ones from the year before , i dried most of them out and chopped some up tonight to go in some burgers
  15. youve got hugh page in heathfield , probably pricy though better off getting online
  16. wallenstein ! if you want it road towable look at the small print carefully as alot alot the cheap ones are only meant to be towed round a yard and bounce all over the place , great service from andrew at wallenstein too
  17. Not only fake but pretty dangerous too ! ive tried one of these that a customer bought to log some firewood , the handle came off when i was cutting ! the bolts snapped in half
  18. im only joshing i actually think it looks pretty good ! i think we sometimes dismiss things a little to quick but good on ya for giving it a good go . at least it stops the groundy pouring fuel everywhere except in the saw:001_smile:
  19. i reckon he would get by on one battery if he just cut the sodding branches off instead of dressing things out !lol:lol:
  20. just a quick thank you to Andrew at wallenstein for a top service once again ,. i broke a small part and andrew sorted it with a very prompt service . any one looking for a quality log splitter and prompt service should give them a go , thanks again Andrew
  21. hey ash , dont leave it stacked up in rings on top of each other , if it gets damp it goes pretty manky pretty quick , id split it asap and stack it up , most of the wood i split i do from rings already cut to log size but pine etc i normally split in billets and then cut them later , all the best
  22. Hey Sam , only ever used one company for a weeks work there called amber langis and based Kent way I think they were the cheapest I found , chaffins have a traffic light team but then you probably wouldn't want them on site , isn't there somewhere at pevensey opposite the Mercedes garage that hires out traffic lights ?
  23. Hey ash , do you know a called who runs arbor sense (I think that's it) drives a silver pickup can't rember his name really nice bloke you would have seen him in Eastbourne I would of thought he does all that survey stuff but as others have said but of a tricky area , all the best
  24. have you tried the G P experience !
