  10. is that all ! do you plan on selling all that as cord nick
  11. daniel , do you really think those few 6 inch cuts will send that tree into an "early grave " what about the thousands of trees still standing a hundred years on from natural tears and fractures that occur ,
  12. im not making a fuss ? im just saying i didnt think it was all that special other than you done well not to take the house out , i dont believe that many of us on here are not confident or dont have the skills in our work BUT for the most of us that have say spent half a day rigging out an awkward tree would probably rather block down a stem to be on the safe side rather than ruin all that hard work taking a risk when it could be pretty much garanteed your not going to break anything . .. At the end of day it depends on like you say how confident you are with your skills or how much of a risk taker you are ! , besides all of the banter, you certainly do get some cracking trees over there to work on 1:thumbup1:
  13. i dont see why on earth it is such "precision falling" we all fell trees everyday wether it be avoiding a greenhouse ,shed or mrs robinsons prize tulips and its important to avoid them regardless of the cost of them , but i wouldnt call every fell i do precision falling ? In my opinion it was the RISK you took that makes the video look good not the fact your cut was spot on ,
  14. thanks very much :thumbup1:im pretty chuffed with the comments i never thought it was gona get such a great reveiw ! dont get me wrong i was pretty pleased with the outcome but i know others on here also post some really really good reduction pics . have never really thought to much about the whole AA thing , how much would i benefit from it ? il do a search as im sure youve posted all this stuff before , thanks again for all comments
  15. yeh very heavly and all over the place , one side was about 6 foot higher than the rest ,the owner told me that pikies did it quite a few years ago ! they even stole his electric chainsaw they kept in the greenhouse after they finished
  16. is your weather knowledge telling you something your not sharing with us !
  17. thanks mate your comments mean alot it makes a nice change from doing council jobs on trees that have been pruned to death !
  18. hey mr bolam did you mean to write "I think most of MY reductions make the tree look worse, not better ":001_tt2:
  19. thanks very much mate , its quite ironic cos when i was submitting this post i was wondering to myself if hama will comment on me taking to much off !lol the previous cuts had all been to nubs and all over the place so in truth i didnt think it was gona look that good ! its allways nice when things turn out better ! (even if it is fluke:lol:
  20. good little job , didnt have to rush for a change which was nice as the tree although wasnt big had been hacked in the past so trying to match in at all angles was a bit tricky but all in all turned out alright

  23. i figured that was probably the case although im sure all the other videos ive watched of reg's hes done it the other way but i suppose most of them where rigging vids , all good though certainly makes the trees over here look weedy , !
  24. reg i love watching your vids there awsome , just a quick question though i notice your now doing the gobs upside down is that just because your over there or do you think it works better ?
  25. hey beezy , will you have it ringed up or will it need cutting as well ? and what sort of size tree roughly is it , got any pics . ive got a pretty decent 25 ton towable i could bring up and give you a day rate for me and machine
