  1. Not had a Patrol so cant really give opinion just what i have heard. I did test drive one and nearly bought. I thought as capable as a Landcruiser without the price tag or bills. I would rather an 8 year old patrol than a new pickup
  2. Its either oak or u need to change your batteries in your meter. I used mine the other day and got some strange results until I put a new battery in. I would expect those to be 20-25% have u tried cutting in half and testing.
  3. All the discoveries from day one, all the defenders all range rovers. Isuzu tropper lwb . Landcruiser Amozon even the old ones. Dahatsu fourtrack (believe it or not ) Nissan Patrol ( but no low down torque and gearbox not great ) Mercedes G wagon. Stuff that defo does not tow anywhere near without dropping clutches Ranger, Navaraa, mit l200, susuki, shogun, toyota colorado, free lander, most of the soft roaders, hilux.
  4. It was not his fault his 088 was being repaired
  5. With a few contacts and a bit of local knowledge you should be able to overcome this.
  6. I just spent this afternoon cutting the fuel lines on our 93 diesel with a grinder and adding about 3ft of hose to each of the 3 lines. They rot inside a plate just above the rear axle. We only use it as a trailer shunter and tool box in the yard but felt lost without it. It surprises me how well they were made compared with the new rubbish we keep buying and what a waste of a good vehicle, I even take my overals off before i get in it.
  7. Dont bother buying large items from zero review people unless you are protected by paypal or go and collect with cash. That is a scam and even if it existed it would be a rip off I am sure you can buy those new for 5k
  8. You have found the solution. now u just need to find a firewood man near your port. Preferably with a teleporter to load 70 cu metres fast to cut down waiting time.
  9. I read and dont know if its true but if you overdose with oil it causes the saw to run lean and more likely to cook as you are burning less petrol. I also tend to give it an extra squeeze of oil for luck.
  10. If you buy it now it does not need to be kiln dried. Which island are u on. I would think it would be cheaper to get bulk bags on an arctic.
  11. Should have kept those generators serviced.
  12. 2800kg on the tail with not much weight on the back axle and only 2wd. It would not be for me. I tow a lot with bigger permanent 4x4 that weighs 3/4 tonne more. Even then 2.5 tonnes of trailer feels alot.
  13. You could always buy in £50,000 of cord wood this week pay the wages now and sell the logs in December you may even make Make £500 if the interest rates stay low.
  14. Anything bigger than 3hp will likely be 3 phase most hydrovanes will be 3 ph. I bought a 3 hp sip machine 100 litre tank 10 years ago struggles a bit now as its worn. it will cope with a 3/4 nut gun you just have to wait a minute or so if you have to fight something tough.
  15. You lost me dave. I would mix your pop in with other hardwoods. I am sure people would be ok if 10-20% were pop. Even if the wood is free and not so popular there must be a lower limit where its not worth cutting up.
  16. You could buy a used 240v blown compressor and rob the tank and presure sw. I have a few compressors and have used clean engine oil in the sump.
  17. Put more bio in get it through and leave for a day or so then flush.
  18. :confused1:You lost me if its retail its more work and needs to be more than £80 but if its wholesale its less work and you can do it for £34
  19. would need to be a very big inverter. If you find a good one I would be interested as I am looking for something 12v to keep the air tanks up on my log trailer if I use a tractor with out air.
  20. Exhaust gas recirculation sends some of the exhaust gas back into the inlet manifold. Improves slightly the emissions. Clogs your engine up and gives less mpg. Sits on exhaust manifold and pipes connect to inlet manifold. Often you can buy blanking plugs on ebay to get rid of it. Thats the short version
  21. The lads at all ifor dealers are well clued up what it means is they sold you a 2.6 tonne trailer for 3.5 tonne money. the 2600kg means max weight of trailer including load. And no it does not mean thats the load you can put on trailer. If you overload the 2.6 tonne head the suspension damper will not be able to cope and you will wear the head out prematurely possibly causing early failure.
  22. I saw a screw splitter on the end of a mini digger on here a few weeks ago.
