  1. If you dont let it run out its £100 for 3 years instead of £150
  2. If you can get the timber from the trade free or cheap its ok. If you buy cord in it will be very difficult although with gas going up 25% this week I am thinking £125 a cubic meter. I have always said if you can find someone more expensive than me let me know and I will beat it. I know a few people that have done logs for 30 years that gave up last year.
  3. check steering wheel, pedals, mats, seats as has been said, my vehicles at 24k are still like new and even have the new smell. Give away high mileage stone chips on front, tired headlights, 4 odd tyres, general condition
  4. Old engine oil is highly cancerous. We dont handle it when changing oil we wear disposable gloves. I would not want to fling it all around the place a certain amount will be breathed in and processors will be covered in the stuff. Alot of mechanics become allergic to the stuff and get dermatitis.
  5. Just bought 25 litres of oregon oil from Jones £37 + vat free delivery if you spend over £50 and mention arb talk I think.
  6. And its more reliable and not much slower when u take in acount maintenance
  7. I dont think the parents will accept that back
  8. This will be inaccurate and brief 5-6 k pay no tax up to 10k not much and about £2 a week nat ins over 10k about 25% tax and more nat insurance on a percentage over 45k a year 40% tax and thanks to the labour gov you pay lots more nat ins now. If you keep buying toys to help the business keeps it all reasonable. Hope this is helpfull and reassuring but seek advice from someone who knows what they are talking
  9. No you are alright. As a qualified and apprentice trained vehicle auxillary and ancillary equipment fitter I will muddle through
  10. We had one of those in our wood burner. Thought I had a rat so set a trap luckily only caught one tinney claw and was un injured and flew away when released.
  11. Is it a legal requirement to have a crane tested by loler or do u need to just get it inspected by a competant trained person. Alot of this legislation is not law. You dont need to get your office equipment pat tested by law but its a good way to make sure its safe.
  12. I have been using gates belts on our 2x now lasted 2 years. If you take them to your local auto shop they should be able to measure them. I have a cross ref book for gates if you have the size of the old belt. If you order from M Large make it a good one I seem to remember the postage is £20 minimum
  13. I cant remember what temp you need to burn of the preservative its either 600 or 1000 deg c . Decking is very high on Tanilith because its treated twice and at a higher pressure to make sure it goes well into the wood thats why its so green in colour. I think Rotherham will be ok the highest concentration will be in your house and just above your chimney. The wood in your house shopuld be well preserved and your veg plot very green.
  14. Buying its not the problem its paying £60 a tonne then selling at 2005 prices is the problem. If we put our heads together on here I am sure everyone could do ok without paying the forestry commission its new £15 a tonne charge.
  15. Posh way of saying tree surgeon waste
  16. I would be careful what you burn as pallets get sprayed with all kinds of paint especially in china. Any timber that has been preserved will more than likely have tanalith on it which does not break down in a domestic boiler. The side effects of putting the ash on your veg plot will be it comes up through the plant and will give head aches etc. One way to see if you have concentrated preservative left in the ash is to pour water on it if it goes green and bubbles its a good hint. We produce bags of kindling but would never use preserved timber or pallets. If you do a search online with tanalith it will give more info.
  17. All very good proffessions now you have wood disease you wont be able to leave those logs alone.
  18. Its finished and ready for collection a friend is going to collect and run it down when he gets a minute. No more pics yet itching to get my hands on it and have a play
  19. Not me selling but thought may be ideal for log bodies or trailers so worth a mention ebay no 370480688873
  20. Where do your other talents lie dave.
  21. This is what I thought. The price difference between red and white is getting narrower. Soon it will be cheaper to run on white.
  22. I have heard this before. It makes sense and have gone with it. Use 50:1 and make sure the fuel is fresh and freshly mixed. If you leave some mixed on the shelf for a few weeks I think u can cause problems.
  23. How much would a chipper like that weigh because the single cab hilux is only good for 700kg and you need to take driver and passenger out of that.
  24. What happened to mr Ed . I noticed everyone was talking about the possible recession
