  1. i agree with casparbush, bit of tape round the handle and clip saves a lot of annoyance. nice and cheap too
  2. hi nick, thanks for the reply about the flat line station. makes a bit more sense now and sounds like it'll be interesting to see how people approach it!

is there camping at the venue for staying both days?

    thanks again, geoff

  3. nice one, i'll have a look for it again in a couple of days then. thanks for the reply. will the workshops be very basic stuff or a bit of everything?
  4. workshops would be good. any idea when the 2010 entry forms are going to be up?
  5. would it be possible to have a bit more info on the flat line station? can it be reached as part of your ascent into the tree before you put in your main anchor or is it an extra point to reach when your up there and ready to go. just can't quite imagine it, thanks!
  6. . . . . you cant start a blower without a little old lady appearing directly in the line of fire!
  7. i drove from corona through san francisco and up to avenue of the giants as part of a trip last year. only had a couple of days to look around the redwoods but it was so worth the trip and driving up the pacific coast highway was amazing!! it really does make you feel insignificant standing next to them and id LOVE the chance to climb one. Amazing pics mdvaden, did you just stumble across the albino one or were you looking for it?

hey there, this is pretty random but is your name stu and do you ride bmx? i think i recognize u from a pic on here. my names geoff and i think i rode street with u bout 2 years back near southbank. sorry if im completely wrong.

  9. yeah, lots of that work. pruned and felled some really nice, big trees aswell as some complete crap. sorry to hear bout your chipper. it still got that leak?

  10. big cutty cutty, small cutty cutty
  11. good luck with it then, u using your shiny new wagon? try and tap them up for an old bc1000 whilst your there!

  12. awright bawbag, hows that g+t work?

  13. dont know what the name of it was but ive used a chainsaw winch on a o66 and it was awesome. loads of power and you can blip the throttle just enough to tension the line or give it some at those critical moments. useful bit of kit to have!
  14. sorry to hear about this, hope any injuries heal soon!
  15. my loft and various drawers are filled with ride and dig bmx mags that im always being asked to chuck away, still adding to them all the time! thats an awesome collection you got there, i can see loads of classics! good work!!
  16. i snapped mine clean in half but didnt have it pinned. id previously dislocated the ac joint on the same shoulder and had been having a lot of trouble with it but breaking my collarbone seemed to relieve the pressure and it felt better for a while. i was back at work after 8 weeks but over a year on it still feels noticeably weaker and my climbing has changed to cope with it. some days it is fine and others i get a lot of pain and aching. i reccomend going for any physio they offer and dont rush to get back to work, it'll be better in the long run! also, really hot showers help a lot! hope you recover soon and well!
  17. that snow cocks amazing!! blaming it on kids is a bit unfair tho!!
  18. funny that i entered 2010 in the sea, minus all my clothes, seemed like a good idea at the time but definitly didnt impress the ladies on the way out! your mad doing it sober though . . .
  19. hello, i think your the edd that me and my friend luke(and his dog winston!) met at the new forest comp, then at guildford. if not then sorry but otherwise hello again and are you hitting the comps up again this year? geoff

  20. i dont think it has any at the moment but the isa website (just search for isa uk&i) has a section where they put up all their dates for the year and you can download rules and entry forms.
  21. BC1000's are awesome machines! our one even survived eating a rope that our groundie fed it and it caused no damage. the groundie survived too . . . .just.
  22. i had a quick look at the approach, they look like good boots but the sole has quite a gap between the heel and the toe, looks like it might make locking a bit harder if the rope went in there each time. anybody tried them?
  23. thats not very long for them to wear out like that, thanks for the pics drew, would be interesting to see the middle section too, do you footlock nearly every day?
  24. thanks for the replies, they sound like good boots and definitely look a little bit more heavy duty without being overkill. if i can deal with the pinkness i may even get a pair!
