  1. my sandblaster has a tool which is a 'vapour blaster' uses vapourised water droplets instead of sand, awesome piece of kit, keeps that 'aged effect' on steel that most things remove
  2. p.m. sent!

Temporary is some thing like a shipping container, shed, caravan or mobile field shelter. it will vary from council to council, mine was complained about but planning officers deemed it ok, neibouring farm has several pole barns.. again all ok, totally down to area i guess, we did look at a mobile workshop, sectional rsj building on railway track, where there is a will there is a way!!!!!!!!
  4. mobile steam cleaning trailer karcher 1000de ifor williams | eBay
  5. another vote for the old skool stihl's.. 051 & 076 makes me smile everytime i hear them start..... makes me smile even more when i see the sticker 'made in west germany' it's easy to forget how old they are!!
  6. i gave in just before christmas & bought a petrol driven 7 ton splitter, its not the biggest machine in the world but i can work it all day & through into the evening, wished id bought one years ago.... the pile of knotty stuff that i could do anything with.. has gone!!
  7. hmm, 10 stud wheel on m22 x 1.5.. from a guess tightening torque would be 500 lb/ft... thats 677 nm, then add rust/dirty threads...an the fitters that believe it's not tight until it squeal's as you turn it... ive had wheel nuts that my 1" drive gun wont budge let alone a 1/2" cordless!!!
  8. look for a member called nick channer, he should be able to help, send him a pm if he not along on here soon!!
  9. petrol driven 'bance' gun is a bit OTT for occasional use, i have one with a stihl ts400 engine, awesome bit of kit but i use it most days! claimed peak torque by any manufacturer is usually rubbish figures, snap-on gun is good but again too much money for occasional use, would you not be better upgrading your compressor to a bigger one? or one that has a honda engine instead of a motor, far more mobile then!
  10. .... wet wood generally needs coal!!!!!
  11. reading this has made me go & get a plateful of cheese an biscuits!!!!!!
  12. yep,, have the time of your life!!
  13. lots of cold beer & carefully making santa's footprint template for me!!! ho ho ho!!!!!!!
  14. costs of living are worlds apart from north to south, east to west, we sell at £100-120 per cube, we make money from it but its certainly not going to allow us early retirement!!!!!!!!! you've only got to look at the differance's in property values around the country, whilst you would love to sell at £120 per cube i too would love to buy a 3 bedroom detached house for less than £375000!!!!! apparantly its all 'relative' !!!!!!!
  15. 100k spare.... id be having a three day weekend... then get on with turning that 100k into 200k !
  16. not mine but spent a fair bit of time on this truck, EFE Zone - Model 31001 ill adds some pics of the 'real' truck tomorrow, this was a model that was made. all i can add with regards to buying one is no 'o' license or tacho needed, this truck was never tested although i dont know the full legalities of that!!!! your best bet is go to some shows, the guys with these trucks love them & will bore the pants of you if you let them!! they are all generally friendly thou!! if you want to get in to the showing side of it you will be amazed at how the costs add up, big cheque book will be needed!!!
  17. we sell a half cube bag @ £60 & a full cube bag @£120, the half cube bag is way more popular in our area, i think firewood is one of those trades that you will always be fighting against other folks wrongly advertised loads/quality, keep supplying a quality product with a reliable service & you will keep busy!!!
  18. depends alot on your skin, aquaous cream is good, very thin/ easily absorbed, personally.... i use 'bepanthen'.... its a nappy rash cream !!!! i tried countless other before that didnt help!! its not a steroid cream either!! unfortunatly skin problems are very individual, what works for one wont work for somebody else.. prevention is better than cure!!
  19. handcreams generally soften the skin, this isnt what you want as it will make your hands worse when you do some manual work, without wanting to sounding rude are you a 'manual worker' day to day? if your hands have been wet all day you could try wearing powdered latex gloves under your gloves, we use the orange 'grippy gloves' they last well & dry quick once wet!

get a rolling road test done elsewhere before booking it in for re-test, a failed re-test wont go down well on your o-license history!

check for correct adjustment & athough you have fitted a new actuator, the spring may be weak, i wouldnt of expected the % reading to go down with each attempt!! agree that they are a rubbish braking system but something must be wrong to get such differant readings!
  22. cheers for your replys fellas, had a beer with both the pub manager & area manager tonight, going to see how they get on with larger logs, ive diced up some horrible gnarly knotty bits of oak today for the next delivery i also suggested that they had a removable divider made up for their fireplace, effectively halving the size of the fireplace so that they can have a small fire burning for 'effect' rather than heat, looks like tomorrow nights job could be a small 'wrought iron' fire basket!!!!
  23. I LOVE CONSTRUCTIVE COMMENTS..... THANKS
  24. ive been delivering to a local 'american themed' pub, ive been amazed how quickly this pub get through a load, we deliver to several other pubs & no-one comes close to this guys two loads per week!!!!! today i mentioned we should try bigger logs before an area manager notices how much he is spending, he replied that he would prefer wetter logs!!!!!! i then suggested that maybe as was a monday night & the pub was empty would he not be better to not light the fire !!!!! after chatting for a few mins he tells me he his manager has asked about how much he has spent on firewood & isnt impressed !!! do i keep supplying good quality logs & make the most of it before he is told no more...... or supply some wetter logs which may last a couple more days??
