  1. wouldn't be cost effective to fit a new block, if its only cracked a water jacket to the outside of the block i would try something like.... http://www.innotecworld.com/products/repair.php?productid=205 you will be amazed at modern glue's, the've come a long way from araldite!! it is thou a 50/50 gamble, certainly worth trying!
  2. vosa use a 'traffic light' system for 'o' license holders, this is based on annual test pass rate, roadside check history etc, because a GV9 was issued you will probably now be on amber, this is nothing to worry about but you will be likely to get more roadside 'attention', if nothing else is found & your annual test rate is good then you will soon be on the green light, this will mean you are considered a 'competent' operator, generally you get left alone! if your restricted license is a relatively new one you will most probably get a paperwork/tacho check within the first 12 months, after that it is luck of the draw for an inspection. i can understand why they have such a bad name but they are there for good reason.
  3. thanks again for the replys, it does get complicated, worsened by my ability to guess anything when the wood is in the forest, it sure is easier when you have something familiar to size things up against!! the timber stack is around 16m3, i will find about what has been taken into account for air space, seems to me there isnt much 'middle ground' with forestry, heavy wood is by the tonne, lighter wood is by m3...... how does a mixed load normally get sold? cheers all!
  4. thanks john, i thought it would work out at double, guess we wont go for that then!!

  7. not arb related i know, but good to share anyway! mercedes actros tractor unit, 440 bhp v6 engine, clutch replacement & investigate oil leak which only started when clutch failed.... pic two shows the flywheel, makes my size 12 boots look small!! the release bearing broke up & damaged the rear timing casing, was glad to see this one drive out of the yard once finished!!!
