  1. I get the picture gray git, could do it the other way round with the link ends welded to the chipper bracket so no need to modify the crane, thanks for info so far guys
  2. Yeah I saw that pic Steve on google, hard to see what's going on there, looks like a top link either side at the top but hard to see how it goes together at the bottom. Dean is the fella on here?
  3. Both 3pl, crane under warranty so can't really modify that, thinking of a bracket that mounts to the 3pl then the chipper and crane bolt to the mount. I'll try get pics but the crane is mounted to trailer at present
  4. Anyone mounted a 3pl crane to a chipper by fabricating a mounting bracket or similar? Got a bandit 90 and a kts crane and looking for ideas how to mount the two together?
  5. If you've got a neighbour get them to put a HH complaint in.
  6. There's one called Stay Safe Business on app store, not used it tho.
  7. Not a great pic but this is mine, I have a seperate tool box that can easily be removed so you have the best of both worlds, security when you need it or extra space when needed
  8. How is that policed? How would they know when it was fitted?
  9. Still looking for more men.
  10. They probably reached a size that was too big to be right for pollarding before it was generally considered bad practise . So then you're left with a choice of topping then manage as a pollard or fell once they become too big. I'm sure the streets weren't as busy as they are now when they were first planted
  11. Sounds like a good plan, seems to me it would ease people into it a little more gently?
  12. I just refurbed mine last week, bearings collapsed in wheel and wore centre of wheel away, so built it up with weld, re skimmed it on lathe and fitted new bearings, ram was ok so just slid back together

    Horse Flies

Does the farmer know you're wearing his shirts?
  14. Only if it falls into one of the exemptions, wanting to dismantle a eucalyptus isn't one of them. A company I do a lot of work for recently got their collar felt for reducing a conifer hedge that was burning off in the power lines, because someone had found some old nests on the floor after the work was completed. In the end it was decided that they wouldn't be prosecuted, but they could have been.
  15. You can shoot them out in the field all year round but it is an offence to disturb any nesting bird or destroy nests in the nesting season, so even when they've fledged in theory you can't disturb the nest as you can't prove it's not in use, nests are protected even while they are still being built in the nesting season.
  16. Penistone Tree Services are looking to recruit Arborists and Groundsmen for various Arb and Utility works throughout Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. Applicants would ideally hold the relevant qualifications CS 30,31,38,39. UA1 would be an advantage. We provide arboricultural services to the utility, domestic, local authority and commercial sector so the ideal candidate will have a broad range of experience and the ability to adapt to the role required. In return we offer good rates of pay and an attractive bonus scheme alongside a friendly and safe working environment. To apply please Email [email protected] or call 07731785564.
  17. I have a problem with the hydraulic ram that tensions the tracks. The track came loose on site and the lads tried pumping the ram with grease. However unbeknown the bearing on the wheel had collapsed and it looks like they've pumped the ram past the point that it's should go, now I can't release the tension on the track to get it off and sort the problem, can't get to the problem for the track being in the way. Anyone any ideas?
  18. Hence my earlier question how do you prove what you used the fuel for?
  19. Why would you want to pay more for fuel than you already do? Do you put white diesel in you're chipper?
  20. I've got a suggestion... Stop fannying about and get some work done!!!
  21. How would you prove what you had been using the fuel for?
  22. Do you find it's a bit cramped with the block in the cab brushcutter?
  23. Yeah it's a kts, few reasons I didn't put the block in the cab, the levers for the spools are mounted in the way, it's very heavy and would be very difficult to manuevre through the bottom window, and a bonus is it sits at just a nice height mounted where it is and leaves room for your legs when you spin the seat around. Only prob with it there you can't close window but block can be moved onto trailer if I need to.
