  1. I'll keep you in mind for if the boss needs any more help, we're based in north suffolk. Good luck with the new career, I did the same course in April 2009 at otley, it was really good.
  2. quite.
  3. ok cheers. i just thought it looked quite strange. it looks ok for ringing up big stems but not for precise felling cuts.
  4. The boss bought a new bar for the 064, it was on 3/8 sprocket, he's now changed it to .404 and a bigger bar. The bar is really weird, it's not a stihl rollomatic, it just had stihl written on it and it get's really big at the end and with no end sprocket. Hope that description makes sense. What i'm trying to find out is why is it such a weird shape and should he have got just a normal bar??
  5. check it out ... eBay Feedback profile for dbsmithemplant shocking one of them ... "gearbox is not working, door is missing, now no contact with seller! Very bad!!!" on a £12k jcb!!!
  6. a fair few on there. it looks to me that they are a professional machinery outlet, but they haven't said anything about stihl's postage policy (ie only to professionals and known people) rsssupplies | eBay

  10. I have tattoos on my arms, so does my work mate. I'll get some more no doubt. I'll never cover them up. Hopefully someone with backward opinions about people with tattoos will be astounded about how friendly, courteous and knowledgeable (working on that last one ) one can be! If they still have that hatred in them and i don't get the job, c'est la vie.
  11. Great news! It'll make a big difference to the children's trust. bet they'll be chuffed!

    Spiking

i like spikes up until you have to chog down the stem, with all your weight on your feet. I'm 14.5 stone which doesn't help the pain Just make sure they are sharp and you'll be fine.
  13. i should imagine so. they're quite roomy (the oakley's, that is)
  14. i use oakley motocross/snowboard goggles for dismantles when the wind is chucking the sawdust everywhere. they don't mist up due to the vents and are really comfortable. i think they are these ones.... OAKLEY O FRAME MOTOCROSS ENDURO GOGGLES BLACK | eBay i found the safe-eyes were ok, but unless you tighten them loads they still let bits in. not very comfortable as they aren't padded.
  15. Zubat 300mm here, i prefer it to the straight blades
  16. james what the hell has happened to your greedy boards? tighten the ratchet to much?
  17. A button along the top where you can see a list of threads you have posted in. At the moment, the only way to do it is to go through search. (as far as i know)
  18. where are you looking? TreeBuzz Board: near balance point rigging tutorial video
  19. here you go ginandtonic http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/picture-forum/33239-finally-got-round-making-tool-box.html#post533536
  20. my first two ropes were xtc and they served me perfectly. for the cost you can't really fault it.
  21. james off here (testcricket01) has a tool box built into the tipper, completely closed off to the chip box and accessible by opening the side gate. not ideal but apart from other suggestions above i can't think of anything...perhaps over the cab???
  22. for £350, you will pay around £30-40 in fees through ebay. that's the downside.
  23. you will get £350+ on ebay - people pay stupid money for saws on there
  24. you should offer to trim the hedges for a discount!
