  4. they are too expensive, too bulky, take ages to dry when you get them wet, crap for climbing.
  5. i've only just got a SJ and just used my oval dmm crabs from my hitch climber setup which seem to work well. i bought a 11cm dyneema sling to go through the velcro then on to a second crab to help with quicker change overs.

  9. Don't get too down about it, even if you are not around, life and existence is perpetual, so try and look at it from a selfless viewpoint. Your kids, grandkids etc will be about and hopefully you will have left a legacy. Also, would you want eternal life? Bloody hell, i get bored after a weekend of not doing much!

  18. Nice work I used to help make board walks, fences and stiles before getting into tree work, i do miss it (although not lugging 100kg sleepers on our shoulders through marshes!)

  21. my gf's dad has a 98/s 2.4td with nearly 200k, still runs perfectly, he has no intentions of ever selling it (despite getting constant offers from strangers!)
  22. Hopefully i'll have my own company at some point and i'll be the main climber until i cant climb any more, then just go around quoting and being a general lord-of-the-manor. i'll keep it at one team. nice and simple, less headache.
