  14. maybe weird, but certainly not wonderful!
  15. this is my mates ldv with caravan plonked on it, maybe you could take some inspiration from this? (or not hehe)
  16. PL isn't compulsory, EL is, but if you are a one man band it doesn't matter!
  17. Strictly speaking, you don't need a chipper or truck. A small van, trailer, saws and climbing kit. The old boss of our company started with that exact setup 25 years ago.
  18. go for it! i bought that honeybros setup as soon as i left college and i swear i've improved quicker than if i used a prussic.
  19. Once you get used to it, it is quicker for ascents/descents and less effort. there at some points on this video that demonstrates the hand over hand ascending and slack tending. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yx4LsoXITms&feature=related]FrictionHitchery - YouTube[/ame]
  20. what huck said was nothing to do with proper pruning techniques. he merely pointed out that we as tree surgeons mostly remove/prune trees for the benefit of people/customers.
  21. When i cut mine off, there was just a load of glitter from when some girls attacked me at a party
  22. I have been using a 201t all day today on some 60ft ish ash dismantles. Pro's - Great anti vibe, fuel seemed to last a while, quieter, quick pickup to full revs so good for small branches. Con's - Bogs down on limbs 8"+. A few tweaks with the carb screws might remedy the latter... Overall i see it as slightly better than the 200t and i'm sure over time they will improve the torque/power issues.
  23. They have the Range Rover, Range Rover Evoque, Freelander and Discovery for all the posh posers. Why add the Defender to that list? It looks awful imo.
  24. yeh, if i was spending 100k on a mog i would want to make the most out of it, not just chipping.
  25. great reductions matt. you obviously have an eye for them (or a good groundy!)
