  7. Peugeot diesels are the best for mpg (or they were..?) Used to get between 800 and 900 miles a tank in my 406 hdi
  8. i've used the two way isc for a few years and more recently the 3 way. i thought it would be a pain but it's just as quick. you don't think every time "one catch, two catch, three". you just squeeze it and away you go. it's the carabiner you use the most in climbing so time/effort saving is worth it.
  9. I think he should Mullet over.
  10. the assessor was out of the truck for the reversing maneuver, you can do what you like, forget 10 to 2 on the steering wheel! just whip it round, job done! that was the easiest bit of the test
  11. Wouldn't mind going for metallica, prodigy (although they are on their last legs surely? saw them in 2006 and they lost a bit of magic) & tenacious d (for the lols). But i refuse to go to any big commercial festival for a whole weekend (pepsi max stage? no thanks!!) i bought a day ticket to reading a few year ago to watch rage against the machine and it was pretty bad (the festival, not rage) have fun though
  12. Jon i love your posts but it took ages for me to work this out I hate caravans with a passion. (campervans are great though!)
  13. morrisons and sainsburys have the best cider/ale selection! don't know about food etc
  14. This thread is wearing quite fin already. I bait this won't go on much longer
  15. I think i'm there sunday, although might not due to festivities the night before, i'll see how it goes!
  16. hate to say it, but the 346xp is awesome with 15" bar. (slowly coming round to the idea of husky's)
  17. Rover that tree is huuuge! The first pic doesn't do it justice!
  18. ^ what a surprise haha! I think there will be a bidding frenzy in the last minute, bringing it up to £2000 at least. (maybe i shouldn't reveal my highest bid!)
  19. I can vouch for Showa, very hard wearing! Usually get 3-4 days climbing, instead of 1 day like the cheap crap.
  20. 2 women go over, 1 comes back to find the blokes have gone to the pub as the whole island idea filled them with dread.
  21. Post your pictures of great British woodlands Sun rays, bluebells, wildlife, autumn colours, mystical, magical, fungi, creatures get extra points These are from a woodland near Bury, Suffolk
  22. he was good. he passed my workmate a few months ago. glad i've passed finally. should make me more employable aswell.
  23. Passed mine today, after alot of headache! I was late by 10 mins yesterday morning as traffic was absolutley horrendous (maybe could of left earlier , although it took 1hr15min to do a 45 min journey) Booked in for today at 12.15, got there at 12 and they said they had no record of me!! at this point my stress levels were throught the roof! Although i had arranged the time slot with the test centre, i hadn't phoned dvla to pay for it and tell them.(i hadn't arranged the last one, the company did). So with minutes to spare, i had to phone dvla to book it in (i did not need them telling me that i can book a test online, detailing the website and how it worked!, then being put on hold which seemed like eternity). So at 12:14 i got off the phone having booked and paid for my test at 12:15! Passed with 2 minors (bit of hesitating) On my birthday aswell - sat drinking a cider to chill out. Phew
  24. I think some of these replies are horrible, give the guy a break - don't just reply for the halibut!
