  1. If your groundy offered a foot rub, would you wince at the thought or rub your chin thinking 'hmm, perhaps' ?
  2. noted. edit: what if the customer is crossing their arms?
  3. Ok to all the pedants that took my description of a groundy a bit too literally... I would happily fell trees, rig branches, sned, chip, drag, eye in reductions, bring a flask of tea to share, buy cakes, give the climber a foot massage, stand with arms crossed talking to customer whilst climber sweats etc etc... All for £140 That's what a good groundy does, am i right?
  4. but he didn't make anything....?
  5. It's the Express, probably the worst 'news' publication in the UK, so you can bet most of it is bs. Also, if social services are aloud to take away a baby due to it's mother's extreme right wing views, why not a child born into a very religious family (i.e. nutters)?
  6. Is that a typo? If not, i will gladly drag brash for you!
  7. Showman's licence I believe. Also exempt from tacho's and lot's of other stuff!

    Pulley saver

also saw that on ebay, might of snapped it up if i didn't already have one. from the name of the seller, i guess its 'central-services' who was banned from arbtalk a while back!
  9. Still working mate, hopefully i'll get away before the end of this month! found a house yet?

  10. OP- Got to be £150 - £200 ? How have you got profit from £35/h after wages, fuel, time quoting, time travelling to and from job, insurances, maintenance, wear and tear, downtime cover etc etc ?
  11. Nice one mate, would of liked to of seen ozzy shuffling about.
  12. there was a tree blocking half the road near our yard on friday, this was 7.55am. by the time we got in the work truck and drove up to it at 8.15 it had been cleared by someone with a chainsaw and their wasn't any sign of anyone there
  13. sure am! what you cant see is the butt of the tree to the right, probably a bit longer than what you can see in the picture and about 40"+ width. so there was enough weight to keep my from falling into the drink (although i may aswell have considering how soaked i got).
  14. We had to clear a big ash for over a river today. We tried to stay dry but gave up and got soaked up to the knees (just hope our boots dry for Monday!) Would have been a complete arse without the tracked chipper!
  15. BBC Weather : DE74
  16. ah you do still come on here. nice one.
  17. yes, he's had a tough 2012 up until now. here's to the future though
  18. Thought I would make a feel good thread for my friend and workmate Shaun as he is quite busy at the moment. His wife gave birth to a baby boy last Saturday, welcome Reece Button to the world and congrats Shaun and family Hope to see him on Arbtalk in 2028
  19. very nice mate
  20. Yay woo yay the Queen woo yay
  21. Really? I love this country though.
  22. it may be an issue with your pc rather than the software. i have run firefox on pc and mac for years with no real ongoing problems. is it the newest version?
  23. but you will be happy. so what if your car is 15 years old? lower incomes doesn't mean a tatty house and holidays are what you make of them. i would have 100000% more fun in cornwall in a tent, than barbados in a 5* hotel.
  24. you can get second hand Stihl hs80's for around £70-£100 on ebay, it'll out perform and out last these plastic fantastic things
