  1. i see this thread has gone to Pot.....
  2. bit ott? or not the whole story?
  3. You did the right thing! I replaced someone at my old job who was sacked as he smoked a joint on his lunch break, then went up a big willow to reduce it, in the pouring rain! What people do in they're own time is fine, as long as it doesn't effect their work or the reputation of the company.
  4. +1 for me aswell, last week from gustharts i bought airstreams, silky and saw pod, 3 quid cheaper than the others (every little helps hey?) and great communications and delivery. anyone thinking of buying airstream's - do it! really comfy out of the box, can't comment on durability, perhaps i'll do a review later on.
  5. Nice surf truck Stephen!
  6. brilliant i found this advert the other day when i was searching for a new car, brutally honest!!! Peugeot 406 GTX 2.0 HDI Estate | eBay
  7. 200t 12",346xp 15" ,372xp 18"+25" bars My ideal setup anyway

  9. Cheers mate
  10. Forgot to add, if you want to speak directly call me on 07917619114. (not always in signal - gotta love the countryside!)
  11. Hi guys, my girlfriend and I are relocating to Brighton and I need to find work before moving down. I'll send a full cv to anyone interested. Here is a brief summary of my experience and qualifiications. 4 years in industry, 3 years climbing. Cs30, 31, 38 & 39, lantra chipper, level 2 certificate in arb. Held a full clean driving licence for 8 years and have the B+E category. I'm willing to come down for a trial day/week (I have a campervan if accommodation is a problem) Thanks
  12. I think private plates look tacky in general. There are some gems out there, like a Jag in Cornwall we used to see alot with 'A12 RSE' .
  13. badomm tshh i peaked at 16 (health wise, mark ), it was then a steady downhill until i started tree work at 22, now at 26 i seem to be on the verge of loosing the battle unless i buck up my ideas! doesn't help!
  14. dolmar top handle saw like sthil husqvarna | eBay looks similar to the komatzu /zenoah jap machines...
  15. Me n the lass are going through France next week in the campervan. You never know, we might like it so much that we'll join you!
  16. If you can mate, step up to it! I started as a lead climber (read: only climber) with only 6-8 months experience. It was a very quick learning curve, i had to just get on with it. Quite a few buttock clenches later and i settled in fine. My boss would get an experienced subby in once or twice a month if it was a really big/tricky dismantle, then the more i learned, the less he had to be called in. Good luck
  17. Wow that is actually amazing! I'd love to be the landlord. Strictly Real Ale and Ciders though.
  18. It sucks. When full of kit it's too heavy and cumbersome, then it falls apart after 3 months. Same with the husky ones. I now just have two large rope bags which i find much better.
  19. are you competing? is it judged on weight? speed? smell? artistic merit? style?
  20. If you are doing strictly subby work, cancel your pi insurance - that'll save some cash. £100 is fine for your exp. in a year or two perhaps it'll increase to £120? Anything less than that is a p-take, Considering you don't get 28 days paid leave, use your own kit, maintain it etc.
  21. that's what i thought! the smaller tracked chipper weighs more than the bigger one with the trailer included!
  22. Our transit is quite happy with 1.8t chipper every day.
  23. As said, on time (10 mins early), presentable, with lunch so no shop stops, and a smile on your face (I hate grumpy workers in the morning, puts a strain on the day before its started!) Well done and good luck
  24. A bit too commercial and bland mate, check this out [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1T8-8v7sRA]Squire Of Gothos - Emptyin Full Clipz - YouTube[/ame]
  25. It's a nice idea, but same as fully electric cars, the technology just isn't there to make it a viable option to replace petrol 100%. Maybe the homeowners market is better suited, but would they want to spend $6800 on one?
