  1. I have a place in Nounsley, Hatfield Peverel, but you will nee 4wd at the moment to get access. Pm me if this works for you.
  2. Me too, especially if I'm cutting a lot of softer wood.
  3. Very nice work, I like the platform he is sitting on, looks right.

    """spud""

I missed that vid Spud, but I am shocked by the performance change after a 9mm hole added to mine, I also found that keeping the depth gages a bit over spec helped in not clogging the oiler hole in the bar with dust. No need to get embarrassed with a bit of spudulation by the way, you deserve it!
  5. Good shout Eddy!
  6. Might want to go a bit more than .50mm, but that will be a good start,if they all look more you might run them at .60 or even .70mm,

    """spud""

I want to see the results of a Spudport on a 150t, the exhaust mod makes one big difference, but a fully sorted one could be rather nice.
  8. Don't worry about it Phil, just read the bits that interest you, that way you get your answers.
  9. Why not indeed, that would work fine!
  10. Same as, but ours is Essex rain, far superior!
  11. You can buy a depth guage, it just rests on the top of the cutting teeth & has a dropped down end, allowing the tops to be filed,( with a flat file), you then round off the curve by hand, I would think a .6 might be right for your saw at a guess, you could go further, but risk of kickback will be higher, & the saw will work a bit harder.
  12. Heres a short vid of the stump from the robinia I took down (page 19), 3120 made quick work of the wood remaining, it just fell apart as I cut .
  13. It's not dead yet, give it a chance!
  14. The piston pump mod is a good place to start, & often is the problem, especially if the fault is erratic, me if the rubbers in the carb are all ok,& the crank seals good & the fault is hard to trace, I would think abut an 020 carb, the ms200 loves them!
  15. You look well dodgey:biggrin:, good work though:thumbup1:

    :biggrin:Spud is a top man!
  17. I would save your money & start with the 'piston pump mod', or send it to Spudulike to freshen up, unless the saw is generally worn out.
  18. Awkward job there Steve,as said, the owner was fortunate in where it ended up!
  19. Try Writtle college, they do chainsaw courses.
  20. ash maple elm or olive, burr or root would be my guess
  21. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1w3yn8uqGg]David Bowie - Please Mr Grave Digger - YouTube[/ame]
  22. I worked on the railways years ago, on relay. I got reported to the union a few times by co-workers,(read shirkers), for working too hard & setting a bad example by doing so, stunning performance.
  23. Send the ground in first, if he comes out happy you should be ok!
  24. Ah, sorry mate, I was talking tipper, (my landy tipper will only take about 1.25 ton legally).
  25. Think you might be surprised mate, most of them way about 2.2 or more ton empty, so you would do well to get more than 1.3 ton on a tranny, normally a fair bit less.
