  4. Thats my take on it too,in most situations.
  5. Great document Rupert,Thank you for sharing this.
  6. :thumbup1:Done that lovely timber justice there!
  7. That letter carving is superb, love the way you have tailed off the ends of the letters.
  8. I like that little set up,neet & sweet! Use one of those log crosscut benches myself, great for small stuff.
  9. :thumbup1:Nice camera Dean, look forward to some pics!
  10. Seen these a few times, they smell like rotting flesh from a good few feet.
  11. Yes good list,I would forget about the steel cored flipline, and maybe look at getting a 20 metre length of climbing line as well as the one you already have on your list, that way you can climb with your lad to keep an eye on him. Be aware of the panic drop if someone holds onto or above a prussic knot, starts decending and panic grips the line or knot, dissabling the prussic.

    Wasp nest !

I got stung by one,I dont get affected by normal wasps& bees, within 5 minutes I was itching heavily all over, chest & larynx pain, headache, severe rash all over etc,not nice! They love to nest in shrubs bushes & low in trees, the nests are dificult to see,and they will go for you if you disturb or knock the nest. We should be aware of them,as they nest in places where our trade will bring us into their habitat, often without us seeing them before they get all buzzed up. Heres a pic of this one,I had pruned above it on this wingnut, thats when it became visible .
  13. Me too, used it in my little top handle echo tes 270,and it runs a treat, its expensive, but good.

    Wasp nest !

These were euro wasps,I get an alergic reaction /hospital visit when they get me,frightening !
  16. Thanks mate.
  17. I love my 200 rear handle for light snedding / chipper saw, The 460 is a great saw too.
  18. Just a thought, but try smearing a thin film of temp proof grease around the part of the filter cage that mates with the carb,or filter oil used on motocross bikes, once the thinning agent has evaporated this will leave a fine & very tacky dust catcher.
  19. Enjoyed that,what a blast!
  20. Can thest be instaled on mid rope,or is it an end feed like the spiderjack? Sorry for the bone question peeps!
  21. Great site, going to browse that one !
  22. Spray it with roundup or such like first, give it time to do its job before cutting/rotavating,but Im sure someone who turfs proffesionally will be on soon mate.

    Wasp nest !

Liam, as an astute observer you will notice that I lingered a moment after the cut,if the nest had missed the bin I was getting in it instead!!
  24. RUPERT on here wrote a very good paper on this,pm him and see if he can let you have it,very comprehensive, brilliantly presented. Makes a good informative refference.
