  1. Go for a 200/300 series,or td5. Condition is everything with landys, some have had a hard life with not enough maintenance. Nene overland are ok,but you will pay top prices. The chassis do rust, and require a good check over when buying, but no more so than other vehicles.
  2. The cop looked a bit fazed by the camera & attitude, should have arrested him,but he was just doing his job,no control attitude,so why couldnt the light jumper just say sorry & get a wrist slap instead of wasting police time(which we pay for),and risking involving others in an accident........
  3. No,not everyone,but a student of the law with a big mouth.........
  4. I agree wiyh you,what a muppet!
  5. Good luck fixing this, let us know how you get on with it.
  6. The makita saws are ok,not got the oomph or reputation of the stihl, but please dont buy second hand off ebay, unless you are incredibly fortunate you will end up with a pile of trouble and wasted money. Save up for a new saw,it,s cheaper in the long & short run........
  7. On topic,I wouldn't worry about it Yogi,as long as you enjoy the work you will shape to it,chances are you will be ground working for experience more than anything else to start with.
  8. Youv'e a gentle way with words Steven...love it!!

Give them a soak in warm water, bath heat, with washing powder ,agitate it aroung a bit every now & then, half hour ought to do it,then rinse well in warm water & stack to dry.

Thats spot on,the man should not be on the road.
  13. Thats will do it,enjoy & take your time!
  14. Hey Tommer,by the way I love your narcolepsy avatar!
  15. I may be wrong, but I think the very late 300 landys did get engine management, aka the discos.

    Am I unusual...

Flapjacks, cinamon and raisons..and honey on a spoon, you londoners are heathens! I always have a box of iranian dates in the motor in case my meagre expectations are not to be realized.
  17. Sweeeeet looking landy, treat her well, get every case drained & fiilled with fresh lube, grease the props, kiss it good night, and love it in the morning....and lock it up well.
  18. Get a good landy, stay on top of the maintenance(not hard),and it will last you for years. Just my opinion, but I have worked them since 1986 and had no major dramas.
  19. Nice connie flop Rich Rule, any grey feathers on the lawn after!
  20. Must get some of those funky wheels for mine! Nice buggy!
  21. Thanks mate, the gold coins showing horses are celtic staters/quarter staters,of the trinovantes tribe (essex boys),all before christ, gulp!
  22. You know him,he knows you,you want to work without grief like this,I would just play it down with a quiet word in this instance and see where it goes, you could give the old bill a heads up so its on record without pushing it further, you want it to stop without further agg. If it continues then consider your options and the results of what you do.
