  9. Mine'lost' its safety shroud that covers the bar too,I think it rattled too much....Great little bench for small diameter stuff, just watch when you mount the saw that it does not snag on the crankcase when rotating the saw, leave an inch or so of bar on the saw head end as they can catch the crankcase around the hinged part of the bench.
  10. :001_huh:What a ripoff!!!
  11. Thats great,as are the others he has there, cracking post, thanks!
  12. I think thats a reasonable price, just make sure you get a good one! The other saws will do your job, just that the 200 is the cream!

  15. Nasty,I hope he makes a full recovery, work safe lads.
  16. I had to laugh at the way you can see humour in a bloody awkward situation, sounds very fiddly to do. Wish I could offer more constructive help,no doubt someone will,I wont even sugest chamfering the hose end to help it in with a hot knife for fear of creating a dust leak. Hope you get it sorted soonest.
  17. Spot on Hamma, even in the heat of discussion on one thread, I'm sure the same people would help each others out on another! That works for me. Meanwhile,Hamma, you may jest at my wd40 post, but have you tried it!!! If you do let me know if it works!
  18. I'm not familiar with the saw,but maybe a smear of 2stroke oil to ease it in/on? Or can you make the conection thats proving difficult first, then conect the other end after. Sorry if this is no help, but I have no knowledge of this saw, there must be a way!
  19. Glad your sorted close by the job mate.
  20. Well...one of them anyway! There are some very good female arborists out there, and a handfull on this site.
  21. When you get to fell those big old ones,a quick squirt of wd40 in the gob cut stops the hinge from creaking too!
  22. I often use the 'crown clean' terminology, also explaining what that will entail regarding the specific job in hand, yes it is a loose description, but backed up with an explanation it helps a client focus on a certain aspect of what I am quoting for. I dont see it as a specification, just a way of comunicating in precis after explaining the specific aplication to the tree it is aplied to. So weeks after quoting on various trees on one contract If asked what in what order do I want (or the client wants)to proceed I can say crown clean the relevent tree as per specs on quote. Works for me & keeps it simple for the client.
  23. I have a tip site in hatfield peverel, about a mile off the a12,as long as its not conny chips etc, would meen tipping on the way back up to norfolk, about ten miles up the a12 from billericay,pm me if this is any good to you.
  24. Took me about ten paragraphs to say what you have in one sentance...Oh to be articulate! 200 all the way,I very rarely stamp my feet on any topic,I just know this man would love the saw.
