  1. Nasty,I hope he makes a full recovery, work safe lads.
  2. I had to laugh at the way you can see humour in a bloody awkward situation, sounds very fiddly to do. Wish I could offer more constructive help,no doubt someone will,I wont even sugest chamfering the hose end to help it in with a hot knife for fear of creating a dust leak. Hope you get it sorted soonest.
  3. Spot on Hamma, even in the heat of discussion on one thread, I'm sure the same people would help each others out on another! That works for me. Meanwhile,Hamma, you may jest at my wd40 post, but have you tried it!!! If you do let me know if it works!
  4. I'm not familiar with the saw,but maybe a smear of 2stroke oil to ease it in/on? Or can you make the conection thats proving difficult first, then conect the other end after. Sorry if this is no help, but I have no knowledge of this saw, there must be a way!
  5. Glad your sorted close by the job mate.
  6. Well...one of them anyway! There are some very good female arborists out there, and a handfull on this site.
  7. When you get to fell those big old ones,a quick squirt of wd40 in the gob cut stops the hinge from creaking too!
  8. I often use the 'crown clean' terminology, also explaining what that will entail regarding the specific job in hand, yes it is a loose description, but backed up with an explanation it helps a client focus on a certain aspect of what I am quoting for. I dont see it as a specification, just a way of comunicating in precis after explaining the specific aplication to the tree it is aplied to. So weeks after quoting on various trees on one contract If asked what in what order do I want (or the client wants)to proceed I can say crown clean the relevent tree as per specs on quote. Works for me & keeps it simple for the client.
  9. I have a tip site in hatfield peverel, about a mile off the a12,as long as its not conny chips etc, would meen tipping on the way back up to norfolk, about ten miles up the a12 from billericay,pm me if this is any good to you.
  10. Took me about ten paragraphs to say what you have in one sentance...Oh to be articulate! 200 all the way,I very rarely stamp my feet on any topic,I just know this man would love the saw.
  11. Me too,great service!
  12. :biggrin:Great pics, but put those saws away ovr night!!!
  13. Blimey,that looks like dr who's tardis!
  14. Nice work that! Love to see some more pics as work goes on!
  15. Pm sent in return, I went to school in felsted, boarding, back in 1969,was all forced runs & bamboo cane beatings back then!
  16. Sorry to hear this, good luck with it getting returned, makes me mad when things get nicked.
  17. At this time of year its going to be going mouldy, the sap is up. If you are near to my tip site you can help yourself,or I could deliver, depending on location. My yard is in hatfield peverel, where are you?
  18. Not normal to leave a mark such as that, some lumber gets marked up with specifics to that section. Yes people do get a lot of wood stolen, very frustrating, good on you for asking before taking,a lot of people assume it is just waste, some just take it anyway, some wait until its all nicely split & stacked before they go in for a five finger discount!
  19. Looks a good saw,not sure how it is in the field, hope someone can pipe up & let us know,But I doubt it beats the 200!
  20. Good luck on your choice, and let us know what you choose and how you get on.
  21. The 211 would be a nice saw,(I have not used one myself),but the 200 would be better built to cope with pro use,and certainly for the engine size it is stunning. There is a reason it is more expensive, and you would notice the difference when using it,on paper they may look similar, the 200,like the 200t is renowned for its mid range power, very fast rev pickup, and durability, most of the arb lads on here use the 200t climbers saw in preference to other brands for good reason, the rear handle 200 is the same saw with a different handle configuration, If you are using the saw on a regular basis I would think you would notice the difference.
  22. They arnt cheap, but what a cracking saw they are, very slim & nimble, fast to rev & cut, carving bar no probs, and a pro saw, perfect for your job......is it worth the extra money, matter of opinion, but a lot of lads on here want them,my favourite light saw so I'm the wrong person to ask!
