  1. That is a tragedy for everyone around the incident, poor kid just trying to earn a crust, and that happens. As for people with their Darwin theories, have you no heart?

    Jokes???

Paddy took 2 stuffed dogs to the 'Antiques Roadshow'. "Ooh!" said the presenter, "This is a very rare set, produced by the celebrated Johns Brothers taxidermists who operated in London at the turn of last century.* Do you have any idea what they would fetch if they were in good condition?"* "...Sticks?" Paddy replied
  3. That mirror is stunning!
  4. Sorry to read this mate, it's getting all too often again, that time of year, These people want burying in my opinion.
  5. No, it was one of his vices, we all have them... I think this will be an interesting saw in the 50cc range. My crystal ball, (locked firmly in my vice), tells me that Echo saws will be more main stream in people's perception given a year or two longer.
  6. That looks very nice, I want one too, but will have to wait for my 346xp to wear out, or sell it on and bite the bullet:001_smile:
  7. I have made the move from landy 130 to 06 ranger tipper, both reliable for me, landy better for towing, and took more chip, ranger too high geared in first for towing well and technical off road sections, and is a 3 ton gvw against landy at 3.5. Other than that it doas the job, and has been earning it's shilling.
  8. You could try the small gearbox off an old electric cement mixer like the 'belle', not looked into it myself but it might be viable, or an old small rotavater. The gearbox are relatively high rev input to low speed output, and designed to handle a lot of load, and are simple self contained units. Just a thought.

Give him some elax,he might not have to wait till morning then:sneaky2:
  10. Don't know if it's possible, but if they could shoe horn the motor into a top handle saw, I think it would chew up the oposition on take downs.
  11. I suppose it should be, but in all honesty it is so good as it is I might not bother, then again.... The saw starts and warms up quite quickly, and has picked it's heals up after about half a gallon of aspen has been through it, the oiler and tick over screws can be adjusted with your thumb nail with ease, chain adjust screw is a doddle, and the saw feels 'built' in the hand, I'm sure you will love it if you get one, everyone who has used it picks it up again with a smile.

Yes, and the hole idea might be worth a go, but watch for leen running, so I would look at an 8mm hole

I opened up the louvers on my 170 exhaust outlet with a screwdriver, just pried them open a bit, that made it pull a bit harder, but don't go mad with no carb adjustment.
  14. The 390 has had some work now, on the 15 inch bar, it a screamer, with good torque too, really starting to bed in and perform well above its weight. A few of the lads have been picking it up as a choice, if you want a very fast and light snedding saw, that starts easy, you would be silly not to look at one, it was far from overwhelmed dicing up a 17 inch acer trunk today, and was not more than a few seconds behind a newish ms261, I'm running an oregon full chisel, that works better than the semi it comes with. It's bog stock with the spark arester in place.
  15. Fair one mate:blushing: But I still can't forget that time when you necked a viagra tablet in mistake for your hayfever one, and in front of the client sneezed and burst your fly zip! She looked like she had seen something more frightening than a zombie!
  16. Half of them don't need dressing up!
  17. That should be plenty for two Jon,don't forget the veg.
  18. Lovely pictures mate, she will remember little things like this all her life.
  19. The saw has only had three or four tanks full through it, bit it has loosened up a bit, a few lads have used it, and all are impressed with its handling, and in the cut, for the capacity it is a lively thing with some mid range grunt too, starts without a thought, and is frugal on fuel. We have been taking down some mid sized oaks, and it is not struggling with timber up to about 14 inch diameter, and that on the semi chisel chain they come with, a nice full chisel and a bit more time to bed in and I think ot will be outstanding, a bit like an ms200 rear handle, with all or more go in it, remember I'm running a 15 inch bar.
  20. Yep,that about sums it up for me. Anyone who needs a book written about them to try and maintain control, and empower their spin doctors is a megalomainiac at best, and a fictitious symbol of control at worst.
  21. :corkysm21:I need to get a decent one Jon, oh the choices! Chewing on a big butt is good for your gums though.
  22. I can understand that, you have us lot to contend with..
  23. Probably an old hand at that!
