The cs620 is a good 60cc saw, the CS 360tes, just ordered the CS 390esx,the cs352es is a nice small saw,and I have an older cs280,a very light saw,good for light fast work in small timber. All have been reliable and fit for purpose,I believe the 390 will be a cracker,but will judge that when I get it.

Any of them will suit,down to your preference really, but as long as the echo,or any second hand saw,is good it will be a nice thing.

Ask Spud Sounds like a high jet blockage initially,maybe the carb needs a strip and full clean.

Must be a widespread weather patern, it's the same here.

The echo is not such a high rev power saw,having a good high rev power and lots of mid range torque,rather than extreme top end power, it is slightly heavier, and with this weight comes durability,simple carb to adjust,and solid reliability in a saw that is no slouch in the cut,it loves being buried in big wood. So, easy starting,bomb proof reliability,and strong cutting with good balance sums it up.

I take it that your tier system is of your own creation,and you judge where to place the brands,total poppycock,do you ever have anything of worth to add to these type of threads. echo may be a small company compared to the big two,but produce fine quality long lasting saws,as do other brands aimed at the pro user. I believe that were you to shed your bias,you could be a positive contributer to the forum with your knowledge of saw design, but no one is going to take notice of your outright drivel such as this post. What is your intent here,by trying to loosely discredit a brand? Another question I ask, with respect, that will no doubt fail to get an answer, prove me wrong if you have the conviction to back your posts, or fall into the inevitable ridicule of being opinionated without basis. I have used and worked on saws for some 27 years, and have used in a professional capacity all of the worthwhile saw brands available in the UK, and respect them all for their efforts in providing tools at a profit, some models have flopped,some excelled. Back on topic,echo have and do provide some very reliable and competitive saws,and while your blinkered responses don't put a skin on my porridge,they appeal to my curiosity about what makes you tick. I have gleaned that you think it all a big conspiracy between the brand and the consumer from a previous post of yours, (gonna contact echo as I never got a cut out of it), and no doubt that has helped them achieve the 'second tier', an accolade indeed.....

I know it's boringly repetitive but the echo CS 620 would fill your boots nicely.

I'm ordering mine tomorrow, thing is I will be paying twenty squids more,but no postage etc, and it will be run up on aspen,my tipple of preference. God knows why I'm buying it now with my ankle cattle trucked, but it will give me something to pet on these cold nights.

Hello mate, don't use abrasive paper on it yet, talk to spud or look at the thread mentioned earlier, as it is best cleaned chemicaly, at least to start with.

Landy wavers are not waving, just demisting the window,on the new ones they have slightly better heaters so don't have to do it as much:001_rolleyes:

The only thing to want is for people to adopt an open mind,and realise that giving the big two brands total loyalty,or near monopoly, will or has encouraged apathy in the quality control. I agree with you completely,having used ech saws for some years.

Yep my error there, I paid £520 for mine from my local dealer, as TCD says above I would happily have paid more as it is such a good saw to use.

Same as TCD, I replied to the duplicate post on the buy an echo thread, did the pricing on here,the echo is about 15% cheaper in real prices,spares on the shelf. the weight is no issue,and made up for by the balance and engine torque.

Still ms362, £560 on honey bros website. echo cs620, £480 on forest and arb. Both dealers competitive with these brands, and are advertising on the forum. Some folk,me included like the toggle switch, but thats personal choice, not necessarily a deal breaker. Spares, only ever had to order a brake band,that took 48hours. There are a lot of good reasons to opt for the echo over the competition, depending which category of saw you are looking at. My figures are real quoted prices, do your research, it took me 5 minutes! Talk to forest and arb, spares very similar to the big S and H.
