I used my digger to put up a 3 foot earth wall and hedged it to tie it together on 3 sides of my property that are potential ingress points, it worked the one time we had floods, and gave me the time to help others who had no protection. It was possible at mine, some properties do not lend themselves to easy barriers.

  13. To be fair, they are probably trying to cope with areas worse hit,I'm not there, just speculating,but the levels of flooding are vast, and I would imagine they are completely overstretched.. It's good news that you survived the worse, sound horrendous the amount of rain up there, and the impact.
