    Buy an echo!!

Yep,I use a husky can, works perfect.
  4. Thanks for those links mate, that saw and carving bar setup looks stunning, sounds like it lives up to its looks too! I think it is a saw I just have to own,I'm going to get this ankle of mine fixed then buy one for sure, now look what you made me do...
  5. Could be that no one here has used one,I will give it a while to see what comes up here, but I can feel the need to buy and try, sure I will like it.
  6. On the part of your post about wage difference,I agree that it needs sorting out when hard work does not deliver a living wage, yet some get way too much, this is often industry based, take a look at banking for example, the greedy beggars have our money as capital, yet charge us for it, and get bailed out by us when they get greedy and invest our money in high risk areas, then loose it.
  7. That's a keeper mate, one of the best saws made I'm.
  8. It does look rather nice, it's going to be a beautifuly made saw, just interested in how it feels before lust turns into owning it.
  9. Hello mate, yes I have used one a fair bit,but still have my xp346, the smaller echo fills a gap in my saws. Good morning to you and L, too mate.
  10. Yep, just goes to show how society has changed over the years, people now think that the state should support them or prop them up when they overcook their life costs. There is no shortage of young people in the population in this country, so if you want kids don't expect the state to pay, there are an increasing amount of old people, who have on the whole done their bit in years gone by with contributions of all manner, and payed into their pensions, we are struggling to keep them at a reasonable standard of living, they must be a priority over selfish breeding. By all means hack me apart on this, but in my opinion if you want kids you will have to feed them, plan for it and live within your means, tough times are on us and we have to tighten our belts.
  11. Should have made it clear,I'm looking at it as an alternative to the echo cs450, being lighter and yet similar power rating, albeit 38cc as against 45cc, so I asume lighter and more revs to develop the power. Hence the question.
  12. Well I suppose you all know I'm an echo fan, looking at buying the *CS-390ESX, as the power to weight looks good with magnesium alloy casings. Have any of you used or owned this saw? I would like to get a heads up on it before I buy, on paper it looks very good. Thanks.
  13. Nice to wish misfortune on people just because you don't agree with them, politics aside, I perturbed at your thinking, I will keep it clean...
  14. Don't let them get to you jon mate, it's just a passing phase, you will no doubt give it a try then find you can't be arsed.
  15. I would go with aspen,if the dealer sees fit to tell a load of bs then they wouldn't get my money.

    Dolmar or echo

I love a little light hearted humour.

The echo cs450 is a good little saw,and responds well to a slight exhaust mod.

    Dolmar or echo

Probably a frontal lobotomy for excluding husky
  19. Great thread mate,I'm looking forward to these.
  20. Felix the chopper used to tramp around town in shorts that colour, he got nicked,so it doesn't always work:biggrin:

    Dolmar or echo

Now that makes a change from the still or husky threads, but I think it will be a model specific choice from those who know both, I will go echo as it's easier to type mate, but will be interested in good replies along with you.
  22. Yipee, that makes me a clever sod as well, (my first post), it's not often I get a compliment like that Hodge, and there's a lot who would disagree with you on it, but let's not let that spoil my moment of glory and pride.
  23. Can't see anyone trying to be an expert mate, I think the op was just trying to tap into any pointers on this, which is fair enough. I agree in so much as the work will most likely have to be done by a landy specialist, but nowt wrong with picking fellow arbs brains for any first hand knowledge of what he is looking at,we all do it with all manner of our work machinery.
