  2. Oh but you do get 2 stroke diesel engines, they had them in trucks some years ago,and in large boats too, such as this one,but in a chainsaw,it wont ever happen,I bet my left te?tical on that.. bigengine
  3. Maybe, depends if the support rubbers are the problem,or the steel work of the exhaust itself.
  4. My first call would be to the police,I would not chuck him out to begin with, let the cops give you advise on that, they may want to get him while he is still in there. Dont kick off on him, give the powers that be the oportunity to get him in his nest. People like this cover their tracks & move on.
  5. I'm sure you will be fine,it does take a bit of time for things to settle down, but I bet you will be out there & at it this summer Andy.
  6. Hiya Andy,a few years ago I was rather ill,& it was touch & go as to wether I would have to undergo this surgery,I got lucky & now have good health without having a stoma. A few people I know/met at the time of my illness have had the surgery,& whilst none are arborists, they do sport,& work manualy. I dont see why it should restrict you once you have got into the way of things. Wishing you a speedy & smooth recovery from the surgery,& a bright future in your work.
  7. Thanks, that looks good, was going to 'upgrade' to one of those retractable dog leads, but this is great.
  8. Thats what I have done, works fine,I use a double fishermans as it bites the carabina nicely,& is easy to untie.
  9. Hey thats nice work,impressive!
  10. The 201 rear handle would be a great saw,its narrow & well balanced, and an asset on the ground too ,I have the older 200 rear handle,it is a lovely saw.
  11. He would deffo have washed his hands of it,
  12. Looks like an old linesman belt for going up leccy poles, got one kicking around in me shed somewhere.
  13. That one wants a shutdown,no two ways about it. It wont cost you money, but can take a bit of time to get them to raise the shutdown.
  14. For a light reduction,as said the wolf adjustable head pole pruner is good,I have an old centre pin fishing reel on the holding end of mine to keep the slack out of the cord, and a good silky,& felco pruners. I always have a good look round the tree with a cup of tea before I go to work,& take a good look at the structure looking for hazards on the way up. Relax & try to enjoy your climb & work,it makes a difference to the quality of the reduction.
  15. Hope the link works.. http://i645.photobucket.com/albums/uu178/geoff0795/harb.jpg

  21. Hope I have not put this in the wrong place,if so sorry to the mods, but it is not a sale, its a freeby!
  22. Got these off a job I'm on,they would be good quality,as high personal security is a must on the property, they were replaced with a more discrete setup. I have 4 units as in the pics,no control box or anything else,if they are of use & you want them its a first come first served, pick up in essex,or pay postage, but they are 20inches long,so it might not be cheap on the postage.
