  1. Either that or there's too much brandy in the late night christmas pudding snack-ette.
  2. My grammar may be correct, but it's a shame about my lack of ability to read... See above post
  3. Wood Identification Course At Kew Gardens Oh soddit! I'm only a year out with the date . How very dare they tease me with last year's courses...
  4. Which one to get? Arghhh!!! Don't make me make decisions As long as they come in teeny weeny girlie sizes I might even get one of each. It will be like Christmas all over again. Thanks, Santa Steve (Does the model come with # 1?)
  5. Only if someone tells him There was another thread about this a few weeks ago. It's well worth a watch.
  6. I know chicks dig scars, but that's a bit of an extreme way to get some feminine attention . I hope you mend well x

    Bored Already?

Me! I was away for Crimbo week and now it's back to the joys of laundry and daytime TV, which, lets face it, are activities not known for their excitement levels
  8. I got a brush for cleaning the wheels on the Triumph Beat that!
  9. It's lacking the fat pointy buds and opposite scars of an ash. It looks Ailanthus - Tree of Heaven - like to me.
  10. And there was me thinking it was going to be a load of ATs in their Santa hats and tinsel. Oh, the disappointment...
  11. Why do I have the feeling there wouldn't be any shortage of offers to do the photoghraphy ?
  12. Ooo, shiny new geegaws I don't care if I'll never use them, I still WANT them. i'm off to get my tickets now.
  13. Thanks Matt - I was up until about four this morning watching this because of you! LoL
  14. I have two tickets for the above recording at BBC White City for 13th Dec. I can't make it, so if anyone wants them, drop me an email (not PM, I'm a bit of a lapsed member of late ) and I'll forward them on.
  15. Me (and Collins ) would say P. smithiana, given the length of the neeedles and the tapered tip of the cone.
  16. Well done Marco Although we were in the area, the closest we got to participating was listening to the commentary on the radio
  17. Isolated outbreak up there that has now been erradicated. Apparently. Even the OPM are more discerning for a life up Norf
  18. Sounds very much like Brown Tailed Moth. They are pretty much confined to Rosacea and seem to love Cotoneaster. They can cause skin irritation and rashes which are very mild in comparison to OPM.
  19. I, quietly, got the genus too, but as to the spp??? I worked at Bedgebury for a bit and the curator there had a bit of a thing for podocarps. He had one or two in his collection...
  20. It's now been found in these London Boroughs - Ealing, Brent, Hounslow, Hammersmith, Kensington, Richmond, Wandsworth and Merton. It's also in Pangbourne, Berks. If anyone has found it outside of these areas, I would be very interested and would appreciate a PM about it with more details.
  21. The AA Journal is one that would look good in your new office. It can be a bit, erm, dry, and hard going though.
  22. Aw, go on then. How about this one from my portfolio? And back on track, although I'm prepared to do pretty much anything work wise if I had to, I really can't imagine a future career that doesn't involve trees in any description. I'm doing my job of choice already and I'm too much of a spoilt brat to even think about an alternative.
  23. Can you still be a professional mud lark these days?
