  1. That last pic is awesome John!!!
  2. Amazing.
  3. Good point.
  4. Had it loads and loads of times, chainsaws, sawmilling etc etc, especially on bigger bars and on the bandsaw
  5. The 390 was a good but horrid tractor, especially in 2wd! Spent years in one of those. Also spent time in the landini copy of one too- even worse, especially the cab roof which i was endlessly bumpinng my head on!
  6. Get in touch with Brammer BSL. They are international. Even if they cant supply i would think that they could point u to someone who can.
  7. Never been an issue for me as i have a branch nearby. Ring your local branch and ask if i were you, but yes almost certainly they would, probably straight to your door if needed, and I just bought 2 drive belts for my 935 which together came to £60 including, and IIRC they are bigger than the ones on my old 620. Worth a call anyway.
  8. Ive not found vermeer belts any better than those you can get from Brammer (BSL) or any other bearing and belts supplier.......just fabulously expensive in comparison!
  9. Beautiful frames!!! yeah was a shame. The garden table is even bigger! Slabbed it all with an alaskan at full chat....45 minutes and a tank and a half of fuel in the 088 per slab. The log was mahoussive!
  10. Beat me to it lol:thumbup1: Bit of a hero of mine- IMO the master at this. Sadly no longer with us He influenced me alot. This was my oak tabletop when i had just finished it- seated 10 comfortably before a new house required it to be resized to a six seater! Its 3' wide, solid oak.
  11. IMO one of the leaders was The Workshop of Tim Stead. Absolutely umbelievable work. If you can find a book called [ame=http://www.amazon.co.uk/Explorations-wood-furniture-sculpture-Stead/dp/0952820307]http://www.amazon.co.uk/Explorations-wood-furniture-sculpture-Stead/dp/0952820307[/ame] you could do a hell of a lot worse. I have sadly lent my copy and it is very hard to find now, but awe inspiring.
  12. Bit far for me I am sorry to say. The price would be extortionate. Im sure you have seen my work posted on here before tho. Best of luck finding someone tho Charlieh.
  13. They're beautiful.
  14. Suspension and air brakes Ithought- there are some big fendts and new hollands running around down here with 50k boxes and air brakes......
  15. Thanks for all your support. Hopefully things are on the up and up!
  16. Back to move timber tomorrow.
  17. Some pics from todays job. Apologies for poor camera work. The big stick at the end was 6 tonnes.
  18. Givn that a physiotherapist is recognised as a proper medical paractiotioner by the BMA and chiropracters are seen as alternative medicine, I would recommend a physio every day of the week. A sports injury specialist is a physiotherapist BTW.
  19. Nice post Agg221.
  20. All of them basically, other than the hazel obviously. Sweet chestnut was, according to Ben Law, recognized finally as a timber that can be used structurally, as long as it doent have a corkscrew to it, which leads to a short weak grain. Oak and chestnut dont rot, ash does but is incredibly strong, and beech does very fast, so is only good for indoor use and not a structural timber- use it for flooring, window ledges etc etc. Oak will go for everything. Happy milling and building.
