  1. Use it on my side strop with a micro pulley. Using 8(?)mm liros at the mo. Its a bit thin TBH for that knot, will be going back to marlow boa again.
  2. Yeah- its called unleaded. For the extra money that aspen costs you could afford the most expensive health care in the world in later life IF you needed it from all those fumes:sneaky2: and stil have change left over.......
  3. Drug dealing. Or you could go to work and earn loads more than that anyway lol
  4. He was an incredible shot!! I dont reckon i could hit one when i was on the ground let alone wobbling around in a chopper! So were they picking them up after with the chopper or what?
  5. Veg oil all the way. Even use it on the 088 when milling. No worries.
  6. vermeer.
  7. The farmi will chip conny, but its a fuel wood machine really, hence the huge distance between roller and cutter wheel.
  8. wow. I see a hippo BTW. Is that what you meant?
  9. Fair play Butler. In answer to your original question....you are the only one who has said they are!
  10. You could try barncoose nursery in cornwall.
  11. Gotta love the yanks!!! It would be a right p1sser if you left a can of coke on the dashboard......
  12. Ooh we could have done with that thing......
  13. :lol::lol:
  14. Yeah this MIGHT be on the cards if I can get a lift with another south west arb.... I never knew 'gaggle' was the collective noun for woodsfolk either.
  15. There was a time when i would have sworn that vermeer were the best, end of. But after recent dealings with them that have gone somewhat awry, and hearing bad things about their newer stuff, i would say Bandit all the way now. I still have a vermeer, and my last one was a vermeer too BTW.
  16. The NFU policy isnt really worth the paper its written on for tree work. Its a standard Pl policy amended a bit to cover tree stuff.
  17. Its nesting season....they should have done a better inspection of the tree before felling it. I agree with Mark.
  18. A non return valve is a cheap short term fix for that. The diesel system is highly pressurised, and you have an inherent problem if the pressure is not being kept overnight.
  19. If you do need to use metal, use expensive stainless steel fixings.
  20. Well it all seems to have been covered TBH. Maybe a stronger DEET concentration. I used 100% in south america, but over here use 50% when i use it at all. Always try to wash it off before you apply more, because as has been said it does get absorbed. Less beer in your diet.........
  21. £16 for a can of chainsaw fuel!!!!!!!!!! That is nothing short of robbery. Its not like we are working in enclosed spaces ffs. Get down the garage- its about £7 when you mix it yourself the traditional way.
  22. square mortice andTenons would be the best- a square peg cut in the top of the uprights going right through a corresponding square socket in the top plank, fitting very tightly, with wooden wedge driven in afterwards too.
  23. The pines would be useful, but the larch and spruce less so. Originaly it was made from the turpentine tree, Pistacia terebinthus. Very toxic substance though, which can cause liver failure, which is partly why it is so hard to get hold of genuine turps like it used to be i think.
  24. Sorry to hear that Mark. RiP Hennie.
  25. Very nice set up. one of the first mills i used.
