  2. i have seen a 20 litre jerry can with a husky filler spout on it which i thought was a great idea - a bit bulky but almost groundy proof
  3. yes they mannaged to put it on my fleet policy some how
  4. this is my 5th year with trust , i started with them as a subby and now have all of my insurance with them , they are relly helpfull if you do have to claim(like whne some fool went into the back of my scooby) they even got me a like for like car through my insurance policy . i really can not fault them at all
  5. i do think that is the down fall with the nfu , i now have all of my insurance with trust and to be honest after compaing quotes this year i dont think i will bother looking round next year , 10% discount for being a long term customer is good for me , next year it goues up to 14.3%
  6. i used to get so p***ed of waiting for people to get back to me but like steve said above - im just a name and a number to them , however when it comes to them wanting something from me it has to be right this instant , nowadays i make them wait . but going back to insurance i would certainly give chameron at trust a call
  7. fair enough mate , handy parts site though as i do need a couple bits for my scooby .
  8. FFS clearly you are dont do humour neither do you do polite !!!
  9. i see your point steve , i guess that 12 inch wesex they had on the front is about as big as i would wanna go then even that will require weights on the back when it aint full of chip , but i may look round for a front mount like you bought or yours , i think the only problem with stuff like this is that they dont come up fpr sale to offten
  10. what ? to go in the LDV ??? now that i would like to see
  11. talking of chippers , i have been looking into buying the wesex that was fitted on the mog that i have bought but also looking at something a little bigger than 12 inches to go on the back , anyone got any thoughts ?? i was thinking that its pointles having a big mog unless i run a big chiper
  12. its simple , give trust a call , i bet you they will have your insurance sorted within the day if you call first thing .
  13. yeah i will be comming up for sure , will be a good excuse for me to air the scooby out lol
  14. looks like a nice job there Andy , do you think that the first tree will improve its habbit ??
  15. really sounds like your lad has been let down . since his assessment has been paid for then you are intitled to demand an assessment and due to the fact that he has been waiting 6 months to be assessed then he should have a 2 day refresher for free followed by an assessment . i know of an assessment day down here in cornwall next week for cs38 and 39 .
  16. i may well get shot down in flames for this but ......... in my experience in dealing with our local TO's and the LPA in situations like these a tree growing into utilitty cables weather its BT or power lines it actually comes under the utilitty act which does allow the the pruning of trees that are causing dammage to utilitty lines however this will not permit felling , as for timescales i realy do feel that planning applications should be dealt with much more promptly .
  17. tommer really wants a timber trailer dont you !!! lol
  18. i will be interested depending on dates
  19. it most certainly would not lol , i have about 30 tons of pine to take out of a woods that we have recently taken down and i think that would be about all she wrote lol
  20. Great stuff guys , im glad that not everyone here are gun-ho fools with something to prove . maybe Tidytrees should take note !!!!!
  21. AA Arborsit's is a company based in Bodmin in Cornwall, they are mainly a utilitty tree cutting company that have a contract with WPD . the allegation that WPD does not want them cutting is purley a rumour. the contracts in cornwall are comming up for remewal within the next 14 months and there is a large company based just outside Exeter that are verry keen to take all of the contracts in Cornwall or at least as many as they can and yes they are rather popular with wpd . also wpd now requires anyone that wishes to tender for contracts to be a member of an EU register - but this is all i know about it and not at all sure what or who it is .
  22. I do hope that the accusations listed above have some truth to them because i really have a feeling that your posts on this toppic and in particular the post i have added above are the posts of a man thats stuck in the past and rather bitter that the industry has moved on and left you behind . There are set requirements laid down by W.P.D for cutting lv from a mewp and im sure if you had a decant knowlege you would be aware of this .as for bouncing bits off of the line i think most will agree that this really does show your lack of sense, skill and abilitty to do the job . sorry to sound harsh but it really is fools like this that have caused the industry to tighten up so much .
  23. im really not trying to be funny and i know that with regards to N.P.T.C you are correct but down here working for Western Power Distribution the distances of proximity zones and live zones are not the same as N.P.T.C im not sure where tidy trees is from but i can understand the confusion if he is down this way . W.P.D have a an authorisation known as L.V.O.H or D744 this is the training required to work live on lv from a mewp using approved methods of work , in this training they do not mention N.P.T.C zones and meterage . as for the comment about conservatories, watter tanks etc etc you really have no idea have you seen the results of comming into contact of live powerlines ??
  24. thanks steve , we have been thinking of changing the chip box but still cant work out weather to get a reversing plate for the front pto and front mount a chipper or not .
