  1. yes sorry my mistake thats why you replied . all im saying is that you can not agree with something someone has said without having to be rude or to comment on what a person my or may not know about forrestry . Can you and your life understand that ?
  2. oi watch your mouth , at less than sixty posts your already doing a good job of alienating your self . some maners would not go a miss , you asked a question on a public forum so expect to get some comments that you may not like or agree with .
  3. I use A.C Price for anything to do with my mog and a can not rate them highly enough .
  4. does it still work ?
  5. Give F.R Jones a shout , if they dont have it in stock then they will get it in pretty pronto for you .
  6. This is true
  7. ha ha and i broke one of my snap on retchets stripping the broken bit of mog lmao !!! but it was nice breaking stuff with tommer today
  8. yes apparently the germans did not want to play cricket with Fletchers and decided not to bother putting it into production !!!
  9. I will Be totally honest - if the likes of Stihl or Husky spend millions on testing and product improvements and so far i dont recall either of them producing a small saw with a big Bog or even two . could this be because they feel that there is no need to have such a thing on a small saw ?
  10. Granfors Maul it is then i think , tommer can you bring yours with you on wed ? cheers mate
  11. cheers for the advice guys , we put the new rigging rope to good use today and so far we are really happy with it , some great informative posts and an interesting read . And a Big thanks to F.R Jones for all their help and the speedy delivery of all the lowering gear .
  12. Mor a case of peoples opinion , F.R Jones seem to think that they sell way more portland braid than any other lowering rope so i thought i would give it a go and along the way see whay experiences you guys have of it .
  13. As Mike has said - 7.5 Ton trucks do tend to be alot more reliable and less likely to overload BUT i most of your work is domestic then it may prove to be a little more awkward to get into driveways etc , also having soeone who can drive it if your not at work or off sick may prove awkward nowadays
  14. Evening Guys . Early last week i took delivery of some heavyer riging gear for a specific job that has come up , i was looking at the Double Esterlon but could not resist the deal that F.R Jones Did me on 60 meters of 19 mm Portland braid allong with 3 Dead Eye slings and some other kit to go with the rope . so now im looking for your thoughts on 19MM Portland braid . all advice and oppinions are greatly appreciated Cheers Dave
  15. hmmm i might get one for my mog , hitching up a trailer on your own is a pita
  16. be thankfull its only paint falling off , a firm a work with has bouth a few of these saws and has had trouble with half of them - not ticking over , not starting , a fule leak - not from a hose . i honestly dont think the saw was ready of sale .
  17. I think te guide is known as NPTC CS30 .
  18. well siad Steve - time to reflect is in most cases is something in this industry we do not get alot of time to do . I took a leaf out of Steves book a year ago and quite simlply ditched a contract = less stress , less running abut like a fool and more time to think about what im doing .
  19. i know that feeling , i decided to dig deep and ride out the rough times , yes it seems like its never ending but you will come out the other side . is there a specific issue or ?
  20. them your problem is most likely to be a worn tipper motor and not the Fluid level . i had an iveco which was nearly new and it had the same problem , the problem was in fact the tipper body and motor fitted by the manufacturer .
  21. Hi im not bein rude but i think your getting a little ahead of your self with regards to the A/S box - firstly i would check every wire and contact within the system , these chippers were quite prone to contacts breaking down or wires coming loose . secondly maybe you could get it to an auto electrician as im certain that with a multi meeter he can test the circuit . and will probably cost you alot less that a new black box
  22. Hiya chaps I am currently looking to get a new splitting axe/ Maul and wodering if any of you could give me your oppinions on which is the better option - Granfors Bruks Splitting Axe or Splitting Maul ? Many thanks Dave
  23. it may well be that the A/S system is working correctly but if i remember correctly they are quite prone to wireing problems , it also would not be un common for a wire crimp to have either come lose / snapped or for the contacts to need cleaning etc . Was the machine still wourking up untill you bought the chipper ?
  24. oooops sorry just read All of the information !!!!
