  1. When your big enough !!
  2. so how do they power the sprayer or pumps ? PTO ? . Secondly the name gives away the reasoning behind its clasification .
  3. i keep looking for one for my mog but they never seem to come up for sale !!!
  4. Sort of , chippers can be mounted on either a three point linkage or a din plate , my first post was probably somewhat simple , basicy to genuinely register a mog as agg you need to prove that its purpose is aggricultural/ forrestry led and that you are not carrying loads for hire or reward , many mogs are not agg spec and therefore require an opperators licence etc , an agg mog would have a pto , three point linkage (rear) and hyd services . thus making it a tractor . Anyway hope this helps , im not always too great at wrighting what im thinking
  5. try and prove that a mog running without pto or three point linkage is an agg vehicle . this information was given to me by our local VOSA inspector . otherwise almost every mog could be classed as agg could it not ?
  6. some of these links may help lol !! 7. For a Unimog to be classed as an Agg vehicle it must have a three point linkage and PTO , and idealy it would have been registered as agg when it left the show room . There is much much mor to it than that but if you are looking for an agg mog then try to make sure that it is a genuine agg machine and if possible not on a Q plate . My mog is a genuine Agg machine and is taxed as an agg machine so yes we drive it on a standard licence . Hope this helps
  8. Just looking on tinterweb and cane accros a husky (petzel) helmet . didnt know they started selling them are thay out over here in the uk ? Husqvarna 531309471 Petzl Arborist Helmet New | eBay
  9. it always amazes me that here in the uk the goverment tax industries to within inches of financial ruin and they then wonder why we are in the financial stae we are in !!!!
  10. Dammmmmn there was me thinking that i had got some money coming to me from my long lost familly in the U.S that i had never heard of !!!!! why oh why did i do as the email said and sent them $1500.00 ! .
  11. Quite simply the USA is better friends with the germans and japanese lmao . Being serious quite a high % of the price increase is caused by the UK's taxation systems , i would guess that if you were tocount on your fingers how many times tax is applied to an item such as a chainsaw from the moment it enters this country to the time you finaly put it to work i dont think you would have many fingers or toes left !!!!
  12. I gave them a shout but they wanted to send out reams of paperwork for me to fill in and send back and were not that competettive on price at all
  13. ha ha , just goes to show what the cornish are like - the 2011 catalogue only recently came out !!!!! And they wonder why i go up country for my saws !!!! Justin
  14. i didnt go through a local office i simply called 118000 got a national number and called then , within 20 mins my mog was insured for £379.48 . cant fault them , having said that my fleet policy is with trust and as much as they are great with the fleet policy they could not get close to NFU on the mog
  15. how strange , i have my mog insured with NFU and can not faut them , even to the pint that they call me 2 weeks before im due to renew my policy etc .
  16. sorry to derail the thread but today i was looking in the 2011 catalogue that was recently available at my local dealers and there is no mention of the ms201t in there !!! just wondering why ?? anyone know ?
  17. been using BFG's and BFG KM2's but have found the KM2's are not wearing as well so after taking some advice from the fitters at Western Power i will be going for coopers next - apparently they are the mutts knutts
  18. i was told either i worked out how to use the dishwasher or i would be shown in detail how to use the washing machine !!! Dishwasher winns hands down
  19. so true , having been put in that situation and knowing that i had to deal with the situation of a fellow worker loosing blood from his hand and wrist at a rate of knotts was an eye opener to say the very least , when in the situatin of dealing with the injury , having to get emergency help and reassure your work mate is not as strait forward as it is made sound on the 1st aid courses . and after your work mate has been taken to hospitall it all comes home as to what just happened . I found myself clearing up the remanence of our first aid kit and realising i was covered in blood etc and now on my own .
  20. i tend to use various lengths but normally about a meter from one fisherman to the other , i will get some pics tomorrow . Glad to hear your new job is going well
  21. personally having used both the TW and GM and untill recently i would have chosen either , this was untill i used a Jensen 2 weeks ago, and now would certainly reccomend looking at a Jensen
  22. I did not realise that to tick all the boxes when it comes to training you actually need to be almost as qualified as a paramedic . Mind you this does spark the question as to weather or not we should be trained further to enable us to deal with the more serious trauma scenarios that we can end up having to deal with .
  23. Hello ben , Kernow life is good , we are currently on a decent job taking out a row of leggy pines , hows your new job going ? as for the friction cord it works a treat and you can choker it off by wrapping it round the branch like you would wrap a prussik , if you make it a decent size loop you will be able to use it in most situations . i will try and take some pics tomorrow
  24. best i try and get a few more hp out of mine then (after we have finnished overhauling the breaks !!
  25. so im guessing what your saying is to always play safe god knows what infections you could get from someone elts helmet
