  1. rthe problem i have found with the cab star is that they do not carry as much chip and they are poo if you so much as park them on a grass verge they get stuck . plusthere is not enough room in the cab for 2 men let alone 3 and some wet weather gear
  2. hiya guys i have just bought an x reg ldv 3.5 ton tipper , its in great condition and cab is verry clean . the only problem is that it is non turbo . i was just wondering if any of you have one or have had one . the reason i have bought it is because i am sick of transits , i currently have an 08 plate transit and im not impressed with it and will not be having another one !! IMO a 3k tipper will do just what a 19 k tipper !!!
  3. i once found a throw bag in a tree that i was working on , not strange i no but what the hell !!
  4. lol if only i could charge that every day down here in cornwall , tommer would probably say the same , it seems that down here people expect to pay 35-40% less just because its cornwall !!! but getting back to the question of easy money is there such a thing ??
  5. i think my easyest money was earnt on a stump i ground out , it was a sycamore stump roughly 26 inches accros . i charged 170 to grind it as i thought it was going to be a pain in the arse with a little pedestrian grinder , 45 mins later i was on my way again as the estate gardener said he would clear up as it would give him something to do
  6. i have used the new green mech , i had it down on demo for 3 weeks , i found it was ok as long as the tracks dont get cloged (which is not that hard) the controles for the tracks are not that good and the hozes for the tracks are externally fitted and could easily be ripped off when tracking throught a woodland etc . as for the chipper i found it to be ok ish but i really would not waist my money on one . personally i would try the new timberwolf tracked chiper that has come out , i have seen it in action and am verry impressed !!! could not comment on the jensen as i have never used one
  7. well im sorry but thats just not good enough !!! no saw still under the influence , riding the crane hook - what ever next ???:001_tongue:
  8. maybe the saw would over load the crane ha ha ha
  9. i am using aloy bashlins with buckingham velcro top pads , i really highly rate them , they are light and comfy admitedly they are all i have used for the last 3 years . before i had a pair of honey brothers own sikes and they were total crap lol !
  10. sod that get electric and running watter in there and rent it out as a studio apartment -595 pcm lol
  11. go for it , you should start the thread by telling everyone about the time you were caught short and used a ornemental feature lol
  12. or mine and dangerous brians favorite- there is one for alex/ whitey ha ha ha ha ha ha im fading away ...........
  13. if i wanted to hear from an arse hole i would fart . if you think dangerous brians attitude stinks you should smell his moddle finger lol joke bri
  14. true . did you get to a toilet in time earlyer lol:sneaky2:
  15. i had just over 2 tons on my transit today and i still got 70 out of her , they do handle abuse well but really are not worth the money , ldv use transit running gear any way . go ldv
  16. let me know what corses you wanna do i will call nicky on mon and get some prices for you , she may well do them a bit cheaper if you do a couple through her
  17. hmmm lets fit it onto my cab star ha ha ha ha ha ha i should still be able to carry a bag of sugar .
  18. well said khriss:001_smile:
  19. if my aunty had balls she would have been my uncle , but she aint !!
  20. you cant polish a turd or you cant educate pork
  21. ldv winns every time . i have an 08 plate transit and im going back to an x reg ldv simply because it does the same job and i dont have to worry about it getting scratched or dented as much , it has transit running gear but none of the built in rus that a transit body has !! my 08 plate transit already has spots of rust on the chasis !!!! not good
  22. tell you what i will chuck in a tree magic for the Emergency climbing kit if it comes off
  23. depends on the drag to the chiper but when taking down a mac recently beside the truck we filled the transit lwb tipper to its limmits i about 45 mins using a timberwolf tw190, now my question to all of you - i looked at the spec for my timber wolf 190 and the spec says its mounted on a fast tow trailer -Q would you class 50 mph or 80 mph a fast tow lol
  24. carefull there that hook on the 50 ton crane your cambium is in may break even tho its tested by lloyds or similar !! if there is a risk of the cranes hook breaking or any part of the system then the risk of the branches we anchor on to in a tree have just got ten thousand times more likely , crane opperators are just as bound over by hse as us in fact probably more so . if it was not safe then the crane driver should not allow it . but the fact that cranes legaly are allowed to use man baskets would suggest different .
