  1. Recently at the AA show a bought a pair of type c stretch air trousers , within 3 days of wearing them the zip went (some of you may have had the same problem ) so i contacted justin at F.R Jones , he was spot on and sent another pair strait out to me . i recieved them in tip top condition but sadly after 2 days use the stitching came appart just under the flys so i called justin and let him know what had happened he offered me another pair of the same trousers or a totally different pair or even pay for my current trousers to be repaired . i sent the trousers back and asked for anoth pair of the same . on recieving them justin again called me and said that he had been speaking to fletcher stewart about it and betwene them they agreed to send me a pair of the longer leg trousers and a pair of braces at the same time at no extra cost . i recieved them yesterday and been climbing in them all day and im pleased to say im really happy with them so far . the service i have recieved from F.R Jones , Fletcher Stewarts and Stretch Air has been first class and could not fault them . This was made possible by the professionalism of justin at F.R Jones . i am not the kind of guy to get arsy when kit is faulty , i would much rather give my feed back to supplyers which in turn gets fed back to the manufacturer who in turn can improve the quality of the product . the moral of the story is that when kit is faulty dont simply deam it as crap or a waist of money or slait it ! what you need to do is give your feed back to the supplyer . once again a big thans to Justin @ F.R Jones , Fletcher Stewarts and Stretch Air .:001_smile:
  2. simples get a jensen or timberwolf , you should have much less trouble , i did and appart from wear and tear my chipper has not mised a beat - the futures bright the futures orange !!!!!
  3. like i said i currentl have a transit its new and yes it is quit nice to turn up in a brand new truck but it costs to do that . so my theory is that is i get an older cheaper truck to run i will save a considerable ammount of money thus allowing me to buy a mog without having to worrk about getting finance to do it . without wanting to sound rude how did you guys go about getting a mog ??
  4. and how far did you get ??? i offered him 3k and he said it was too much lol well words to the equivelant
  5. nice , im thinking of one with sliding side doors so that if i need to i can chip into the side and maybe a tilting roof on gas struts but may still end up as a standard chip box , what sort of price you thinking of selling them for ?
  6. noe cabstar is still going to be converted . im currently working on the design for it and looking into small hiabs , but it may have to wait as i want to make a new chip box
  7. anyone got any more mog pics ????? please lol
  8. ok 3 grand for the landy lol oh and i promise to take good(ish) care of it
  9. i wish mate , that is on my wish list . should have one before retirement :sneaky2:
  10. thats a big ten four on the picture front , the groundy is no more and im in controle of the cammera lol well you can have pictures of the bits that look ok so a will try to make it at least one picture
  11. ha ha , like i said i currently have an 08 plate transit and that is already breaking , the tipper is tempermental , the clutch is fooked , the suspension is giving u the ghost and the breaks are really crap lol , so i guess driving an older bag of crap should be ok'ish lol i dont think i ever want a brand new truck again , well at least for a while
  12. i dont mind as long as it lasts 12 months , if it costs me 3k for a year im happy , much cheaper then leacing a truck , and i dont get charged for killing it ha ha ha ha
  13. this one has a full service history and milleage but yeah i would have liked to go u to the midlands and bought a truck as commercials down here seem to fetch funny money .
  14. ha ha , i saw it and thought what the hell it will do , all i thought of was the money i will be saving lol plus there will be no risk of a speeding ticket whilst towing the chipper any more
  15. rthe problem i have found with the cab star is that they do not carry as much chip and they are poo if you so much as park them on a grass verge they get stuck . plusthere is not enough room in the cab for 2 men let alone 3 and some wet weather gear
  16. hiya guys i have just bought an x reg ldv 3.5 ton tipper , its in great condition and cab is verry clean . the only problem is that it is non turbo . i was just wondering if any of you have one or have had one . the reason i have bought it is because i am sick of transits , i currently have an 08 plate transit and im not impressed with it and will not be having another one !! IMO a 3k tipper will do just what a 19 k tipper !!!
  17. i once found a throw bag in a tree that i was working on , not strange i no but what the hell !!
  18. lol if only i could charge that every day down here in cornwall , tommer would probably say the same , it seems that down here people expect to pay 35-40% less just because its cornwall !!! but getting back to the question of easy money is there such a thing ??
  19. i think my easyest money was earnt on a stump i ground out , it was a sycamore stump roughly 26 inches accros . i charged 170 to grind it as i thought it was going to be a pain in the arse with a little pedestrian grinder , 45 mins later i was on my way again as the estate gardener said he would clear up as it would give him something to do
  20. i have used the new green mech , i had it down on demo for 3 weeks , i found it was ok as long as the tracks dont get cloged (which is not that hard) the controles for the tracks are not that good and the hozes for the tracks are externally fitted and could easily be ripped off when tracking throught a woodland etc . as for the chipper i found it to be ok ish but i really would not waist my money on one . personally i would try the new timberwolf tracked chiper that has come out , i have seen it in action and am verry impressed !!! could not comment on the jensen as i have never used one
  21. well im sorry but thats just not good enough !!! no saw still under the influence , riding the crane hook - what ever next ???:001_tongue:
  22. maybe the saw would over load the crane ha ha ha
  23. i am using aloy bashlins with buckingham velcro top pads , i really highly rate them , they are light and comfy admitedly they are all i have used for the last 3 years . before i had a pair of honey brothers own sikes and they were total crap lol !
  24. sod that get electric and running watter in there and rent it out as a studio apartment -595 pcm lol
