  1. Its my understanding that my blue moon won't pass loler due to the lack of CE mark?........not that i really care:001_tt2:
  2. It was a risky but well executed fell, but there was a bucket truck right there. Don't get why he chose the fell option rather than smack in out in lumps from the bucket. when theres that little holding wood to play with and wires why risk it? just cos something can go over in a oner don't mean thats always the best option.
  3. another reduction, gum this time, one side hit harder than the other to try and get some shape back. and no i didn't do it off the ladder:sneaky2:
  4. Cheers Bro, you have some awesome views in thoose pictures.....nice treework too:thumbup: another reduction from yesterday in a cemetry hardly any drop zone then the wind picked up, typical!
  5. Iain and me doing some sycamore reductions on friday
  6. nasty stuff man. Nearly walked off a job after a woman refused to clean up all the mess, if i wasn't a subbie i'd have told her where to go. I would never knowingly make someone work in and around my dogs crap so can't understand why people think its fine to make us work in it. Also my dog rarely does anything in the garden as i walk him regularly, makes you wonder if they ever walk the dog. I've often told people to add a crap tax onto the invoice....i'm not joking either.
  7. Very good post andy. Its something i often bring up when ariel rescue is talked about the the guys i work with. No matter how good and quick a climber you may be if you cant deal with the situation thats unfolding whats the use of a dedicated rescue climber? None of us know how we will react. so self rescue should be taught as part of 38.
  8. I did try the whole rice drying out thing. Dude said there was alot of corrosion inside.....it was nice and dry though.
  9. Just got it back from being fixed 45 quid all in, which i thought was a bargin iFix iPhone Repairs Brighton & Hove & Fast Postal Repair Service so happy to have it back:thumbup:
  10. I remember losing my wallet and some kind chap cancled all my cards and managed to get my mobile number and hand it back. there are some decent people knocking about.
  11. I was on the "too hot" band wagon but i've gonna say i've got used to it now and find it a pretty good lid. think i've had mine for nigh on a year i'm suprised how well its doing really.
  12. Need to check the home insurance, hadn't got round to setting any phone insurance up yet. Its been drying since i got back yesterday.....sad face
  13. Phone got soaked yesterday in a down pour, totally dead now. Just wondering if anyone has used any of the online repair websites? or had their phone repaired by apple themselves? need it back double time, can't believe how dependant i've become on it. cheers
  14. Just a few on my phone no before pics 1. Yew 2.stubby silver birch and the leaner beside it 3. 3 silver birch and 3 white beams 4. wee acer not up to many of your standards but i'll get there. top notch work dudes!
  15. Make sure your spikes, chains and chipper blades are sharp. then off you go:thumbup1:
  16. Ideally you want 2 serperate applications of your chosen weed killer and allow time for it to work its magic. BUT i've also just rotavated it all up and had no noticable difference (this time in my own garden:001_rolleyes:)
  17. actually prefer it over my cinch for a lanyard. But the cinch is more versatile and cheaper.
  18. scary stuff man could have been pretty bad
  19. Sweet! we actually bashed some connies last week so they could do a similar thing.
  20. Gomataro 300 dont think i've ever used anything else (surgoi aside)
  21. I would have just polietly told him to stand back abit for his own safety. People either stand under the tree or slap bang in the way for dragging...typical. I'm well spoken to customers but when it comes to jobs on pavements and roads people get TOLD to shift it!
  22. use an old tooth brush (or someone elses) for cleaning, helps getting some of the crap out when used with soapy water.
  23. change of plan im not going till tomorrow now:sneaky2:
  24. Brodie in the nicest possible way your expectations sound more like a guy with a years experience than 11yrs. This industry is FULL of people who are worth top dollar, very very few of them get it. We would all like to be paid more (many of us would like to be paid something at all) but in these times its not gonna happen dude. Also all these "greedy" employers you speak of, if they earn such good money why not do it yourself????.....its not as rosey as employees seem to think. you ever get to look at a firms books it'll be a big shock!
